A Beach Cottage

Many of us dream of some day owning a beach cottage and for many, this is how a perfect beach cottage should look like: cozy, bright and have the ocean as backyard.

Designed by Mitch Wise Design,Inc., this cottage seems to have a very comfortable and welcoming feel to it. The interiors are bright with classic coastal-inspired decor and the kitchen is a great example that we don’t have to compromise on style even with a very limited square footage.

This loft-style beach cottage is the definition of a  quiet, private and warm place where practical style meets reasonable space.

A Beach Cottage

A beach cottage should be all about the sea and the sand. This cottage is small and embraces practical decor.

Cottage

Isn’t it cute and cozy? Who needs more than this in a beach cottage?

Small Kitchen

I simply love this kitchen! The countertop on the island is honed carrara marble.

Cozy

Remember, small spaces are always easier to maintain and clean. Love that!

Living & Being

Beautiful hues were chosen for the main space of this cottage.

High Above

This loft-style cottage has one bedroom.

Loft

Beautiful boards. I really like how bright this cottage feels.

Bedroom

Honestly speaking, I’d like to see a more feminine bedding, but I love the architecture of this bedroom.

Bathroom

Great usage of space. Notice the built-ins on the left.

View

This is why we dream having a beach cottage, right?

By the Beach

Imagine having dinner here, by the firepit and hearing the waves.

Sandy Beach

Anyone needing to work on their tan? Put me on the list! :-)

I hope you guys have a wonderful day. My to-do list is full today. I’ve being working a lot lately and I feel very happy about it. Do you know that good sensation of being productive? I love when I feel I’m being able to manage what’s on “my plate” and to be very honest, I don’t feel that way every day. So, I’ll embrace this feeling and keep on track. :-)

I’ll be back tomorrow with a new post for you, ok?

Have a healthy and safe day!

I am swooning over the images! This is my dream house! It’s so open and airy and I just adore the kitchen and bathroom.

  2. What a lovely beach house – so simple yet, as you say, exactly what you need at the beach. In our island houses in the Bahamas, our walls were white-washed pickled cypress and looked very similar to the ones you shown. Cypress has such a wonderful “beachy” smell compared to using pine.

Love your site. I just discovered it recently. Thanks for showing this house – it brought back great memories this morning to find this post in my inbox.
