What would be the #1 thing on you list if you win the lottery?
This house is #1 on my list! I love every inch of it! The decor is pretty, very comfortable, but what talks to me the most is the architecture, the great attention to details, the amazing Living room and the views!
The good thing about it, is that this house is for sale, the bad thing? I can’t afford it! Well, but if you can and would like to live on a island in BC, you can buy it… but it will break my heart, I must say. 🙂
The price tag? $6,950,000.
The Alder Cove Estate
This wonderful property includes the main residence and coach house, occupies more than 8,000 square feet, situated on 2.77 acres, including 500 feet of unspoiled coastline.
Surrounded by nature and the sea, this house is spectacular inside & out.
The main residence was designed by renowned architectural firm Osborne Clark and boasts approximately 8000 sq ft of spacious living on 3 levels with a separate Guest House and Office.
The house feels as though it has always been there.
Bowen Island has one of the mildest climates in Canada.
The pool with corner hot tub has an atmosphere rivaling the most exclusive destination resorts or spas.
This view is unbelievable!
Alder Cove offers a 220 ft sandy beach.
Waterfront guest house.
Green- House and Shed
The garden shed is complete with large work sink and a bathroom. Even “Martha Stewart” would be happy here.
The Living room
The sunken Living Room boasts huge reclaimed fir beams, a 35 foot vaulted ceiling and a grand sized basalt faced fireplace. This is my favorite room in this house.
The Dinning room
Dine watching the Ferries go by.
Wide plank fir floors, 12 foot ceilings and clearstory windows. Just “wow”!
So useful. They didn’t waste any space. It feels like a kitchen where the whole family can be together.
This spacious gourmet kitchen has Brazilian slate countertops.
The Family room
The gorgeous family room has a wood burning fireplace. I would add some blue or green hues instead of the orange, but still… this room is impeccable.
I truly love the colors here and the high gloss paint in the celling.
The Master Bedroom
This Master Bedroom feels really comfortable. Would you keep the color and the furniture style?
It reminds me of a cottage…
The master ensuite is one of the most special rooms in the house with an oversized shower, soaker tub, heated towel racks, double vanity and a split washroom. This celling is amazing!
Timeless beauty… Yes, I am talking about you, not the bathroom, of course!
Let me know what do you think about this place… and the price? 🙂
Have a Blessed week, everyone and we’ll talk again tomorrow!
