We love seeing big homes, don’t we? But how do you really like to live? Square footage can be deceiving and sometimes less is more. Take for example this lake house designed by Mitch Wise.
This home has small, cozy interiors full of color and life! This is a home that you can picture many friends coming in, sitting on the couch and feeling completely at home. This is, in fact, a home where anyone would feel comfortable inside. It’s not pretentious, but full of charm instead.
This is the kind of home that you feel hugged, that you open the doors and you are welcomed… you are at home.
I hope you feel embraced by it.
Lake House with Cozy Interiors
How inviting is this home, right? Its colors and textures have that “home-sweet-home” feel to it, and isn’t this feeling we want to have every time we open the door?
Light fixture above the island is one of my favorites: “Double Sloane Street Shop Light with Linen Shades” by Circa Lighting.
You can see from this angle this is not a big home, but the high ceiling can make it feel more spacious and full of natural light.
Notice the unique seating arrangement.
Cozy & Comfy

Beautiful millwork and lighting!
This sconce is the “Saddleback sconce” by Troy Lighting.
It’s hard to not fall in love with this reading loft. Notice the texture coming from the beams and the warm hues coming from the curtains.
These lanterns add charm to the stairway.
This master bedroom is all about the lake views and its surroundings. Naturally beautiful!
Great cabinet design. You don’t need too much space to create storage, all you need is to be creative with the space you have!
Paint Color: “Sherwin Williams- Front Porch”.
This guest bedroom have some special pieces and a very inviting bedding.
Beige wouldn’t be my first choice for a sink, toilet and bathtub, but it works with this paint color and the subway tiles. The right paint color can do wonders to your interiors!
I love sunrooms that aren’t too big because they can often feel cold. This sunroom is cozy and it’s incredibly comfy.
I really hope you had a good time here today. I have a good feeling about this home… it feels calm, relaxed without making me “yawn”… What do you think?
