Celebrity Living Rooms

Are you a curious person? Don’t ask me! I’ve always being, always will be! And I believe it’s a good thing, because that’s how I learn… by wanting to know more about something. By being curious.

Some people are crazy about celebrities and how they dress, where and what they eat, what they do when they aren’t working, and how they live. I always like to see their homes, because they have all the necessary money to buy whatever they want. So, the question to be asked is: Do they have also good taste?

Since taste is very personal, I would like to know your opinion on these celebrities Living rooms.

What do you think? Do they have good taste? Do they know how to use their money with interior design?

John Mayer

This ultra chic living room is masculine, yet very serene.

The sofa, armchairs, lamps, cocktail table, and handknotted silk rug are all by Armani/Casa; the stool, made of woven water hyacinth, is from Apartment 48, and the velvet pillows are from ABC Carpet & Home.

The Palm Beach, Florida, condo of designer Jonathan Adler and Barneys New York creative director Simon Doonan sports updated ’70s style. Adler designed many of the furnishings, including the grass-green geometric rug, the spunky sofa and throw pillow, and the streamlined pair of brown-lacquer side tables.

Cover girl Jessica Stam commissioned designer Rafael de Cárdenas to create a Manhattan apartment to please even the most fashionable trendsetter. The living room has a jewel-toned palette of purples, pinks, and metallics. The 1950s armchairs are upholstered inDonghia cotton, the vintage sofa is from eBay, and the custom-made rug is by Stark Carpet.

Very classy. I am in love with the rug. What a fun surprise in this room.

Ralph Lauren

Photographer: William Abranowicz

In this New York apartment, Ralph Lauren has all the inspiration necessary to continue to create so well as he does.

Leather-upholstered carbon-fiber chairs, all by Ralph Lauren Home; the side table is by Juan and Paloma Garrido, and the rug is by Stark Carpet.

Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore’s loft is modern comfort at its best. A neutral palette of brown and cream gives the star’s home a calm, no-frills vibe. Vintage L-shaped sofas by Vladimir Kagan and a leather armchair from Furniture Co. provide ample seating, while driftwood table lamps add a rustic touch. The light-filled space also has killer views of the Hudson River.

Megan Mullally

Antique Indian recamier from Susanne Hollis is upholstered in a Rose Tarlow Melrose House linen, the slipper chairs are from Holly Hunt, and the rugs are by Mansour Modern.

Fun! Fun! Fun! I can see lots of people having great conversation around this room.

Interesting room. Note celling is painted  as the same color as the wall.

I like the design but it’s a little bit too dark for my taste.

Dunbar-style velvet sofas by Wyeth and a Scandinavian light fixture by Poul Henningsen. A collection of photographs by Hiroshi Sugimoto and Matthew Barney are displayed on the picture ledges.

Donatella Versace

And here comes the queen…

With a rich golden palette, intricate coffered ceilings, and geometric floor tiles, Donatella Versace’s living room in Milan is anything but minimalist. A pair of massive Empire-style urns flank a painting from the school of Panini, and the graphic sofas are from the Versace Home Collection.

Sarah Jessica Parker

In actress Sarah Jessica Parker’s Bridgehampton, New York, living room, cozy furnishings and graphic fabrics stand out against walls coated in Benjamin Moore Super White. The Lack Parsons-style tables by IKEA were lacquered a glossy white, the sofa is slipcovered in sturdy brown denim, and a polished-chrome Fluted Column lamp is by Ralph Lauren Home.

Comfy. :-)

Meg Ryan

This room features a custom-made light fixture from O’Lampia Studio, sofas upholstered in a Rogers & Goffigon linen, and an industrial metal console table from Intérieurs; the side table is vintage, and the cocktail table is by Christian Liaigre.

So airy! Gorgeous!

Cindy Crawford

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s Malibu home, is an inviting retreat. Custom-made teak sofas upholstered in a Jim Thompson silk flank a pair of Charles Jacobsen tables, and a photograph of the model, taken by Herb Ritts, hangs above the fireplace.

Some of these celebrities sure knows how to decorate, or at least, how to hire a good interior design.  I like Megan Mullally’s place. It’s very fun, just like her! My favorite is Meg Ryan’s. It’s so sunny! Lovely! My least favorite would be Donatella Versace. It’s just not my taste… but remember what I said before… taste is very personal.

Tell me your favorites and the least ones!

Have a HomeBunch Day!
