Quote of the Week:

– The Help.

I saw the movie “The Help” last week and these words stayed with me and I promised myself to not forget them.

I know we will always make mistakes, but if we have the certainty that we’re important, that we matter, then we can understand how strong we actually are.

I know that not all of us hear words like the ones above as much as we deserve (honest compliments can be scarce at times), and I know that not all of us feel as confident as we should feel about life. But I also know that’s never too late to rediscover the strength we have.

I don’t always feel strong, I don’t always feel wise. I have so much to learn, but I pay attention.

By paying attention on how I feel about my life, it teaches me not only about what I want, but specially about who I am.

Learning who we are, getting closer to our soul, to our truth is the best gift we can give to ourselves, because it’s by understanding ourselves that we finally start to understand the paths we might have chosen in the past and the new ones we’ll wisely chose from now on.

  1. Hi! I am back….and missed being in blogland and seeing your gorgeous posts! This one has sooo many amazing pictures, I want to pin each and every one of them!!
Makes me crave spring and a beach house:)
I loved reading your words of wisdom, wasn’t The Help great? Loved both the book and movie!! Take care….

  2. I love this post with all the blue and white. I wish I’d done my home in blue and white. It is so comforting and beautiful. It never disappoints whether modern or traditional. My post, now, is of blue and white. A coincidence. A different look at blue and white. Come on over and take a look.

I have not seen the movie yet, but the words are beautiful.
Today’s post is excellent, I love the houses and decorations, very seaworthy. I understand that you’re looking forward to the summer, no? lol

I really like the lamp that looks like a face-down umbrella.

xoxo and have a good weekend

  5. Carolyn said,

Gorgeous photos. While my chosen vacation spot (and to live full time soon) is the mountains, I will always love blue and white. And I prefer a relaxed, less formal vibe that coastal living inspires. Luciane, your comments always show that you not only appreciate outer beauty, but cultivate inner beauty as well.
