Captivated by South Haven’s natural charm and waterfront beauty, this storybook shingle beach house is exceptionally true to its lakefront character.
Designed by Mike Schaap Builders, this beach house features over 3,600 square feet with five bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. The careful design of this open and charming layout paired with grand views from nearly every room capture all the warmth and playfulness of lakefront living.
When it comes to the exterior of this storybook shingle beach house, a beach friendly fiber cement siding in a soft shade of blue blends seamlessly with the water backdrop, while contrasting white trim and darker blue window clad lend definition to the exterior.
Inside, you will find trendy design elements like cabinets painted in navy, braided hemp lighting, cabinet insets and white-washed European white oak floors. These complement the home’s coastal flair with nautical décor and warm hues.
Now, enough talking… I’m sure you’re dying to see the interiors, right?

I don’t think I would want to leave the house with a view like that…
We can see many beautiful places, but my heart always beats a little faster for shingle homes…
Today I won’t be talking about myself… Today, I just want to acknowledge YOU!
I don’t want to use many words but I want you to have this certainty in your heart that you are very important to me. I want you to know that your presence here matters and makes a difference.
I also want you to know how much I always thank God for having people like you around here. People like me, that comes here every day to dream, to feel inspired but most importantly, to take some time just for ourselves to clear our mind.
Thank you all for walking through this journey with me. I feel that I am in very good company.
Have a wonderful day, my friends.
