Have you decided where you’re spending summer yet? If you ever dreamed of traveling to Martha’s Vineyard, perhaps this summer home is just the ideal place for that.
This rental summer home is located in Edgartown, Massachusetts and was completely renovated with stylish details inside and out, including vintage floors, raised paneling, bead board, an incredible white kitchen, en suite baths, mahogany decks, bluestone patios and a new pool.
Built in 1850, this summer home has incredible interiors, but if the interiors and stunning architecture don’t convince you to stay in this place, maybe the location will. Located on prestigious South Water Street, all of Edgartown Village is only steps away and if you have been to this town, you know that it’s a special place to be at anytime of the year, but it especially shines during summer.
Now, of course all of this doesn’t come cheap. Rental prices range from $20,000 – $35,000/week, and if you fall in love with the place and decide to stay for good, you can actually buy it for a cool $12,000,000. But we can still dream –and get inspired by it– for free, can’t we?.
A peaceful place to spend summer at.
The most deluxe feature of the home might be the stunning water views of Edgartown Harbor enjoyed from most rooms in the house and from the backyard.
I fell in love with this kitchen the moment I saw it. I love the floors, the white cabinets and the overall simplicity of the space. Nothing is complicated and everything works perfectly together.
The kitchen feels spacious and airy.
Kitchen & Eating Area
This kitchen features a spacious island, honed granite counters, walk-in pantry, all commercial appliances, wine refrigerator, and an open dining area.
I would love to cook in this kitchen. There’s plenty storage and counter space.
Kitchen with a View
You simply can’t miss the harbor views and the beadboards. Coastal and stunning — a dream kitchen to many!
What a warm space! The ling room has great decor and millwork.
The sunroom is just incredible! It has brick floors and floor-to-ceiling windows that gaze out over the pool and out to the harbor.
Beautiful decor and view.
It’s hard for me to find a room with brick floors that I don’t like. Brick flooring add so much charm and timeless beauty.
A nice place to enjoy a cup of tea…
The master bedroom wing is located on the lower walk-out level and features coffered ceilings, fireplace, French doors to stone patio and walk-in closets.
Draperies & Views
The French doors opens to the garden, with the beautiful pool and harbor.
The master bathroom comes with his and her marble vanities, soaking tub, and walk-in, two person glass rain shower. There are water views from every angle!
Great marble countertops.
Bathe & Watch
Who wouldn’t like to take a bath with that kind of view, right?
The spacious shower.
Another master bedroom suite, located on the second floor, has French doors that open to the large wraparound mahogany deck with panoramic Harbor views, plus master bath with double marble vanity and glass walk-in shower.
The view from the terrace is magnificent.
Enjoying the Summer Breeze
This terrace is huge! I would spend so much time here, just enjoying the view and the ocean’s breeze.
Bring your favorite magazine and work on your tan! 😉
I can’t get enough of this bathroom. It has the perfect size for a guest bathroom and it doesn’t compromise on quality.
The entire top floor, is a unique crow’s nest suite with built-in window seats and views out of all four sides of the house, plus en suite bath with shower.
This is a really special place to stay at.
A great place to think about life and day-dream…
Did you notice the floors?
Small Guest Bathroom
Lovely white marble and beadboars. Actually, I love these two together! They’re a classic combo.
The fifth bedroom has coastal-inspired decor and it’s located on the lower walk-out level of the house.
A great place to relax and watch a movie.
Once outside, there is a large bluestone patio with two entertaining areas, that steps down to nicely manicured grounds and on down to the harborside, gunite pool, which also has a large bluestone patio and lounge chairs.
Beautiful and inviting.
Hey, Hey Sunshine
Margaritas, anyone? 🙂
Pool & Surroundings
The entire pool area enjoys sweeping views of Edgartown Harbor.
Fun in the Sun
This pool is so inviting, isn’t it?
What a perfect summer home! I love it inside and out.
Watch the boats passing by.

So, did you have a good weekend? I’m so tired… remember when I mentioned my washer AND dryer broke more than a week ago? I finally got the new pair and I can’t tell you the amount of laundry I did during this weekend, but I’m soooo happy to have my closet full again! 🙂
Besides washing, drying, and folding, we watched the hockey games with the kids and it was so fun! Are you guys excited for Boston and Chicago? Do you have a favorite to win the Stanley Cup?
Oh, gosh.. I’m totally getting into hokey now that the kids are loving it. I guess I don’t really have a choice, they talk about it all day long! 🙂
Anyways, guys… I hope you all have a very blessed week, with lots of health and happy moments!
Big hugs to all of you!
