The table is from CFC in Los Angeles and the wallpaper is by Thybony (WTG-079260). Chandelier is by Currey and Company.

Living Room

Comfortable and stylish, this living room has everything you could wish for! I’m also a fan of the spindle chairs.

Paint Color is a custom (starting with Benjamin Moore HC-12 and cut with 30% white ), which is very similar to Weston Flax HC-5 by Benjamin Moore.

Trim Color: Benjamin Moore’s White Dove.

I love this kitchen! Its unique design is very inspiring.

Cabinet Paint Color: The wood is a paint grade MDF, the color is Benjamin Moore’s White Dove in a satin laquer.

The sofa table and section are from Larry St. John, in Los Angeles.

This kitchen feels fresh with those beams and these light fixtures.

The backsplash is by waterworks, architectonic series, 4×8, color: Icewater.

All Together

Island countertop is honed and flamed Black Absolute.

The fabric on the curtains is Ketene-5 by Kravet.

Kitchen

The light fixtures are from West Elm and the sink is a 36″ Rohl RC3618. The size of the island is approx 10′ x 5′.

Kitchen Cabinets

Plenty of storage and glass cabinets. The countertop is Ceasarstone Organic White and the edge detail is “1 1/2″ offset ogee”.

Eating

Cabinets are by CJS custom cabinetry in Simi Valley, CA. Pulls and knobs are oil rubbed bronze, from Restoration Hardware.

Bar stools are from Britanny Hill Furniture in Woodland Hills, CA.

Breakfast Nook

The table and chairs are from Big Daddy’s Antiques in Los Angeles and the shades are from Hunter Douglass.

Light fixture is from Delightville.

Mudroom

This is one of the coolest mudroom I’ve ever seen! I love its colors and how much organized storage it has. Simply fantastic!

Gotta love this idea: The mail boxes are standard white mailboxes built into the cabinetry and painted orange.

Creative

Fabric is from Michael Jon Designs.

Home Office

It’s not hard to get creative in a space like this one.

The desk was painted in automotive paint. Paint Color: Benjamin Moore 2028-30 tequila lime

Hi, everyone! How are you all doing today? We had a really great weekend with the kids… The weather was fantastic, so we went to the beach and after, decided to have some lobster rolls for dinner. I just love this time of the year here!

Don’t you like seeing rooms like these, where beautiful colors are added to bring a room together? Whenever I see rooms like these, so perfectly done, I feel like adding much more color to my own space. I usually try to add it with different accessories because they’re easier to change than furniture or having to paint the walls. I do a lot of painting, but if you have kids in your house, you know it’s not that easy to move everything around and keep them away from the mess. But, with accessories I always do change the mood of the rooms with ease!

Now, tell me… Did you have an interesting weekend? We had a very sunny one. I didn’t have much time to relax because I had to prepare so many things around the house and the blog, but whenever I could I went to spend some time outdoors. I know this beautiful sunshine will not last that long. By next month I’ll be even busier driving the kids to school and the weather will start to cool down a bit. So, I better enjoy days like these. 

Not taking anything for granted, including simple things, like the weather is something we should keep doing while we’re here. Every day, every moment does count. How we live each of them has a deep impact of how our lives unfold…

When renovating this 1900′s San Francisco house, the owners didn’t know how much work it would take to transform it into their dream home, but they knew one thing: they wanted to have color! Having said that, they contacted interior designer Julie Massucco Kleiner to help them choose the best option for them.

The result is a very bright, colorful home that makes you wonder if you would have the same courage to use some of these colors in your own home. I can definitely appreciate the beauty the colors chosen here brought into their house.

Do you like color in your house? What’s your limit for color or do you use it limitless, according to your mood? For me, the best way to use color is planning and planning it well. Color is extremely important in a house and, yes, this post is about vibrant interiors, but we have to realize that color is everywhere and using the ones that makes us feel warm, welcome and happy can transform not only our space but also the way we live.

I’ll be honest with you, I do like color but I can’t live with too much of it. I used to love having strong colors in my home. In my first house, my husband and I transformed our basement into a modern and colorful place. We painted the TV room a very dark gray, his office a dark orange, my office a light purple. It sounds “too much” and it was! But that’s was what we wanted at the time and we did it, we experimented, we learned how to paint, how to choose colors, and we also learned that you got to repaint your entire house to a neutral one if you want to sell it faster. We did all of that and it was really fun at the time! Would I have all of those colors at this time of my life? Not really, but every time I see rooms like the ones I’m posting today, I see that living with color can be really fun and cheerful.

The truth is, I think you should embrace your love for color and if you get tired of it, you know where to find more paint, right? But if you prefer to play it safe, you can always add color with decor, with things that don’t cost a fortune and are easy to change.

Living with vibrant interiors isn’t for everyone, but one thing I can guarantee you, these pictures will make you want to transform at least one room in your house by using your favorite color without fear.
