I have shared some of Linda McDougald’s designs here before and if you remember her name, I am sure you’re getting excited to see her newest project. Linda McDougald and her team from Postcard from Paris are ultra-talented interior designers and showing their projects here is always a pleasure for me.
When I first saw on Houzz what I like to call a ”Modern Home with Elegant Interiors”, I knew it was a design that many of you would feel inspired by. The interior, to be honest, is not for those who love color. This home is for those who prefer a calmer environment to live in.
This house actually feels like a perfect place to come home to after a long day at work; a place that leaves all the noisy clutter of the world behind and welcomes you with its sophisticated zen color palette.
The design found in this home has modern influences, present especially in the crisp white kitchen and the powder room. But having said that, this home also has a very elegant approach, thanks to its stunning mix of tailored designer furniture and antiques.
Everything about this three-story, 11,000-square-foot home feels soothing yet dramatic, showcasing the highest levels of craftsmanship and design in a very stylish way.
As soon you enter this house, you have a strong feeling of elegance and tailored design. I simply love this architectural staircase. Breathtaking! The custom-designed iron railing is by Heirloom Stair.

A Touch of Blue
Custom-made pillows in Kravet Couture Calvin Klein fabric adorn both sofas, which are separated by a Lillian August ebony mirror-top table cocktail table.
Beautifully decorated. I like how the designer brings the same color palette from room to room.
With shades of soft grays, periwinkle blue, and linens, the interior of this home exemplifies sophistication and refinement. This is best illustrated in the great room where an ebony Steinway piano stands out against the room’s cool color palette. As in other areas throughout the home, dark ebony hardwood floors contrast with shades of white, and walls of pale gray to create a striking aesthetic.

So, how everyone is doing today? Did you all have a fun long weekend? It was incredibly warm here. All you want to do is being by the water and have as many popsicles as possible!
Oh, we also went on a day trip last Thursday to a flea-market and I regret not bringing my camera, so I could share some “finds” with all of you. I found so many unique things that I wish I could bring all home with me. Unfortunately I didn’t have space in the car, since the whole family was with me — I’m talking about benches and coffee tables.
My husband said I’m the kind of person that should rent a moving truck every time I go to a flea-market…. LOL…What can I say? I love finding unique pieces for my home and for my clients.
Alright, guys… I hope we all have a very healthy and fun week! Many blessings and thank you for stopping by today!
