Hello everyone! I’m currently working on an interior design project and this week will be a little busy for me. Hi there and Happy Monday!!  I am so happy to be guest posting today for Luciane…how sweet is she? I love her, love her musings about love, family and life and absolutely love her blog. Its always filled with something fabulous, interesting, breathtaking and even sometimes downright crazy!! I cannot imagine my daily blogland rounds without visiting Home Bunch!  So thank you Luciane for giving us all a gift that keeps on giving:)

On my blog, The Enchanted Home,  one of my popular posts is “Which would you choose”. I set up a little scenario and then my readers get to choose the one (and sometimes more than one) choice that they would make. Thought it would be fun to take some of Luciane’s wonderful homes that she has featured (and there are so many many amazing ones, I have truly lost count)  and ask you if had to move tomorrow, (I will even let you choose the location) …….which house would you want to call home? If you live in Canada, chances are that you’ve been to this magnificent region. Okanagan Valley, British Columbia is known as the playground of Canada, with a wonderful climate and with many great activities, such as golfing, skiing and of course, the Okanagan Lake, perfect for swimming or boating.

Houses in the Okanagan Valley are usually exceptional, especially when offering breathtaking views of the lake. Soon after my husband and I got married, we moved from Vancouver to the Okanagan Valley and bought our first home in a small community with lake access. It was a wonderful place for our first two kids to be born. House pricing was drastically changed from the time we arrived to when we moved out of there. You still can find houses that are relatively affordable, but be prepared to spend millions of dollars if you want to live on a waterfront house.

Today, I’m sharing some stunning homes in the Okanagan Valley with its amazing views to celebrate summer, after all, Okanagan is all about that: summer, lake and wine! Enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed seeing these beautiful homes in the Okanagan Valley. Isn’t it a special place? I love that region and I miss living there some times, especially because my best friend lives there and I wish we were closer, drinking some wine and looking at the lake from her patio. Great times, wonderful memories. 

Sorry, guys for being a little late with the post today but I had to finish it this morning. I usually try to work on the post the day before (pictures and write on the same day), but Matthew is teething (already!!!) and he was in so much pain last night and couldn’t fall asleep until almost 11 pm. He woke up much better today and he’s smiling a lot right now… he’s here, on a playpen, by my side.

You can live in a house with stunning interiors, but if you’re unhappy with its views, you certainly will not be completely comfortable about your place. Extraordinary views usually comes naturally, but we  can create a more pleasant view with gardening and even with a charming screen, to block something you rather not see.

Not all of us have the luxury of living in a house with extraordinary views, but when buying a home, we should keep in mind how much our surroundings can affect our mood, because homes with views can make any day feel a better and more relaxing day, all you need to do is to look outside.

I hope you could relax with this post!

Today is going to be a fun day, I’m going downtown and whenever I’m there I need to stop by my favorite French Boulangerie and buy some croissants. I know, I know… they’re not what I need right now, after all summer is getting close and I want to look good, but who can resist to a really good croissant and some amazing coffee, right?  

Actually, this is something I love doing with my husband. You guys know we have three kids and it’s always hard to have some time for ourselves, especially now with a baby. But whenever we go to this bakery, which is also the best cafe in town, we have a wonderful time together.

I think we really should try to spend time with people that are important to us. Life is busy, I know. Actually, aren’t we all tired of saying and feeling this way? We’re all tired of being tired, of being always way too busy for anything and anyone. But, taking some time to show that we care, that we want to be alone with that person can transform an “average” and tiring relationship to a healthy one. I’m not saying my marriage is perfect because I go to a cafe and order a croissant. All I’m saying is that, sharing a meal with my husband is special for the two of us because is something we do together, without being interrupt by anyone (expect when Matthew needs to be fed_yes, we bring him with us, but he usually sleeps). 

Relationships are so complicated at times because it involves so many things, but if I know one thing about it, it is the fact that the best remedy for any problem is laughter. If you can spend some time together and laugh together, than you’re in the right path for feeling good about sharing your life with the person that stands beside you.
