This Classical Shingle Style home subtly combines traditional New England styles to create a striking, functional, and distinctive residence. The dynamic sculptural quality of the Shingle style with its dropped eaves keeps the roofline low and pulls in the surrounding landscape. The massing, in turn, is tempered by classical Palladian proportioning to subtly lend balance and scale. At the front entry portico classical columns and arches evoke the Palladian ideal with its secular temple form. A careful blend of styles flows through the interior combining pure classical elements with a quiet Arts & Crafts influence. The resulting product is a meticulously detailed home highlighted by dramatic ceilings and exquisitely crafted millwork.
I hope you have a good time seeing it!

This weekend was busy, just like always. I tried to organized some things around the house, played with the kids and also worked on a project I started last week. Actually, I have to say that I am loving to work with this client… she’s such a sweet person and I feel we have the same “vision” for her space. I love when that happens!
Now, I am off to do some errands around the town. I still have some gifts to wrap and send… I am so late with that!
See you guys tomorrow!
