Traditional Home

This traditional home, located in Charleston SC, is the kind of house that feels like it was built a long time ago.

A beautiful all brick facade gives it an irresistible charm while the front porch invites you in to discover a home with traditional millwork and designs.

This 4700o sq ft. home was carefully built by custom builder Jamison Howard. My absolutely favorite room in this house is the kitchen, which feels so warm. The balance is perfect between good design and well-being. It’s a space where everything feels real and liveable.

I hope you enjoy seeing the tour of this traditional home.

Traditional Home

How inviting! I love the bricks and the painted ceilings. Valspar’s “Clothesline Fresh” or  Piazza Blue from Sherwin Williams are similar colors. Shutters are Charleston Green.

Porch Materials: The porch columns are permacast columns. The handrails where constructed of stock treated pine materials. All the beams are wrapped in Hardie Trim. The brick is Shadow Stone by Boral Brick.

Front Door Dimensions: Front door is 8′ Tall and 5′ wide with the sidellights. This light came from Carolina Lanterns in Charleston SC. 843-881-4170.

These floors are stunning. The wood is walnut with a natural finish. The inlay is oak stained ebony.

Classic and elegant.

Living Room

The architectural details of this room are very inspiring. I also love the custom mirror. It is actually a two way mirror with a TV behind it.

Dining Room

What a lovely dining room! I especially like the wallpaper and the millwork. Wallpaper: Seabrook–Antonia Vella –Isabella II –page # 60.

Countertops are Crema Marfil and backsplash is emperadora light. Light fixtures are by Charleston Lighting, Chas. Sc Pendant bell jar Merida. Floor is a naturally finished walnut.

Beautifully done. These knobs where purchased from Bird Decorative Hardware in Charleston.

The countertops are Emperadora Light Marble. Again, lovely knobs.

The flooring is walnut with a natural finish.

Plan to take a long and warm bath to relax your body and your mind. 🙂

Isn’t this house lovely? I like how comfortable it seems to be.

Talking about comfort, I received some gorgeous pillows about three weeks ago from a company called “Pillows By Dezign“, and if you ask my husband, he’ll say I’m obsessed about two things: rugs and pillows! I love to change them quite often because they can change a room instantly.

I can tell if a pillow is well-made very fast and I’m loving the ones I got from them. Their quality is great and they’re also affordable. Don’t we all love that? 🙂

Pillows By Dezign make their pillow with care and they all are sewn in the United States, with fabrics that come from respected mills throughout the interior design community. They’re incredibly friendly and do their best to accommodate your needs.

They offered me to choose any pillow I wanted and this is the one I chose:

They’re stunning and durable.

Pillows By Dezign uses many designer fabrics such as Robert Allen, Duralee, Kravet and others.

It’s getting pretty cold here already and I’m starting to crave some good homemade food. Do you know those food that make you feel warm and brings that “home sweet home” aroma all over the house? I’m working a lot lately and I’m not having much time to cook long meals, but I’m certainly missing that.

Let me know if you have some good, easy and delicious comfort food recipes. I want to start planning something for the weekend. 🙂

I’m sure there’s lots of great cooks out there, right? I wish I had my grandma to cook for me, I miss her food so much!

Have a fun and sweet Halloween!!!
