If you’ve read my blog for some time you know I post cottages and coastal homes every Tuesday, but today I am making an exception to show you this incredible rustic guest house.
Located in Northern Wisconsin and built by John Kraemer & Sons, this bunk house was created to comfortably accommodate the homeowner’s extended family and friends.
Here, you will find a very large room with built-in bunk beds, a family room, a separate bathroom and a small kitchen. The entire space uses reclaimed floors, beams and planks, which surely attributes for the overall rustic feel of this place.
Take a look and imagine spending a relaxing weekend here.
Bunk House with Rustic Interiors
This entire place have a very simple yet beautiful approach. The rusticity is appealing and truly inspiring.
The exterior features reclaimed barn wood.
You’re embraced by reclaimed materials the moment you enter this bunk house. It surely feels warm and rustic.
I love seeing smart storage solutions and this one is brilliant! You can store all the extra pillows and towels the guests always need.
The kitchen is very comfortable and welcoming. I love the mix of reclaimed wood surrounding the navy cabinets.
The farmhouse sink a “Shaw Sink” by “Rohl“.
Just off the kitchen you will find four large bunk beds. The size of the beds are “full”, which assures more comfort to your guest.
All the lighting used in this bunk house are from “Filament Lighting” in Minnesota. This particular sconce is the “Menlo Park 14″ High Old Silver Wall Sconce“.
You can’t help but feel embraced by the textures and warm colors found in this space.
The floor is mixed circle sawn pine flooring.
Ceiling is reclaimed pine.
The lounge is where all the guests spend some time reading, watching tv or simply enjoying each other’s company.
I am loving how the designer incorporated storage spaces in many places of this guest home. Also, notice the vintage license plates. Aren’t they great?
I can picture myself sitting here with a hot cocoa in hands and watch the snow falling.
These custom windows are from “Marvin Windows”.
I love the cabin feel of this place! It’s “uncomplicated” and full of charm.
A large bathroom with two vanities can accommodate the guests with plenty of comfort.
Notice the vintage baskets and the towel racks.
The bathroom feels neutral but it still carries the rustic and warm feel of the rest of the house.
