How many of you have a garage full of stuff and you’ve been putting off the clean up job for over a year, now it’s winter and your car is getting hammered with bad weather conditions. Now is the time to start planning your spring clean up and organize what you’re going to keep, sell and throw away.
The typical renovation idea for a garage is the man cave! Many people go all out with their garage renovation, changed to be a living space for not only their car, but video games, entertaining and music playing… Many places can offer garage doors that not only stylish but also secure to keep all of your “toys” safe.
Take a look!
This garage was transformed into a bar to entertain guests at the cottage. How fun is that?! There are some amazing designs for bars within garages with the most popular being the jukebox era with old school coca cola signs and a pool table.
The Car Enthusiast
Many people love their cars and having a clean garage to store what gets you from A to B safely, is a luxury. It’s great to have the tools you need immediately and having a workbench for car maintenance is a must when thinking about renovating your garage for a luxury car.
The Body Shapers
Not everyone wants to put a bar in their garage and play video games all night, some people simply just want to renovate to save gym costs and setup a fully functional gym area with all the equipment required for an amazing workout after work. By transforming your garage to be your next gym, you’re not only saving on membership but you’re also saving on time and parking costs. Sure, you will need to purchase the equipment at first but it’s yours and nobody else will be using it.
Modern vs Traditional
The biggest question you’re going to need to ask yourself, or your partner, is if you want a modern garage or a traditional garage. Your decision should be influenced by the design of your exterior. The very first thing you should think about is your garage door and how your entrance looks when the door opens.
It is common these days for people to want to convert their garage to a music studio. Programs like Ableton have allowed bedroom producers to up their game with high end VSTi’s and hardware that is now affordable for people to buy from the shelf. Converting your garage to a studio could feed your passion and or allow your children to spread their wings.

You’re going to need to plan this way in advance. Think about what kind of garage you’re after, the cost involved, if anything needs to be moved or installed with plumbing or electrics. You will need a professional to do any electrical work within your house, but other than that, you’re free to do what you like.
Don’t forget you’re going to have a lot of garbage to get rid of, and calling for a council cleanup might eventually get you fined as they’re always delayed by weeks and will only take certain things. Having a same day rubbish removalist help you with the cleanup can not only save you time, but will have everything cleared faster. Make sure you to get a junk removal company that recycles, as garages generally accumulate recyclables.
