Perfectly designed by Lisa Michael Interiors, this Delray Beach FL coastal cottage is all about comfort and calmness, starting with its light hardwood floors and whitewashed wood ceiling.
The designer shares her inspiration for the interiors: “What was my overall vision for this home? My goal was to create a vacation home reminiscent of the quaint seaside cottages dotting the shores of Cape Cod. Inspired by my own time spent on the Cape, I infused the home with nautical references, classic details, and weathered finishes. I wanted the home to be warm and inviting; while still maintaining a casual elegance.
For the color palette and fabrics for this project, For a relaxed, yet sophisticated look, I selected a classic color combination of blue and white, and paired it with pale gray for a modern touch. This breezy color combination was the perfect choice to honor the Americana of New England style. In the living room, a natural fiber rug grounds the space and creates textural contrast with the linen sofa. Reclaimed woods and coastal décor intermix with subtle tonal wall stripes for a sophisticated nautical appeal. In the dining room, I created a casual space for family and friends. A maritime Triptych contributes a sense of nostalgia. I paired Rattan dining chairs with a reclaimed wood table for an effortless and informal gathering space. Ikat drapery panels and an antique nickel light fixture add seaside charm. This Florida residence was designed to exude a timeless appeal, while maximizing comfort.”

This home makes me happy! I love the color palette and the decor. What a beautiful space!!!
How are you guys doing? It’s being a crazy week around here.. I am working so much while trying to get everything ready for the kids to go back to school, but I have to say that I feel immensely blessed for having a husband that’s by my side for everything. He helps me with the kids and even with the house. I really could not be able to do all of what I do without him.
Gratitude… we have so many reasons to be grateful for, but it always should start with the people we have in our lives.
Thank you, my friends for being here today. We’ll talk again tomorrow!
