This New-Construction Home Design by Citizen Design Co. was driven by a vision for a harmonious blend of neutral tones and natural elements, elevated by modern design features.
Their primary aim was to maximize the unique pie-shaped lot, resulting in a home that exudes openness and warmth, designed to withstand the test of time. Drawing inspiration from a subtle transitional Tudor style, their focus was on creating a visually captivating space that seamlessly integrates functionality and Beautiful Prairie Living.
Adding a modern touch are the heated concrete floors, juxtaposed with black and white oak millwork, and accented by over-mortared brick details. Incorporating materials like concrete, iron, and plaster brings a modern twist to the traditional elements. The inclusion of tongue-and-groove paneling adds depth to the ceiling, while a sunlit staircase serves as a welcoming centerpiece.
Their design achieves a refined and timeless ambiance by blending classic finishes with a mix of cool textures and warm elements. Throughout the home, carefully curated nooks provide unexpected moments of comfort, contributing to a balanced interplay of light and dark elements.
