Harrison Ford’s New House For Sale

Harrison Ford’s new house is for sale and it’s almost gone! We all know when a celebrity put their house for sale it usually goes fast, especially if you’re as big as Harrison Ford and the price is right.

Harrison Ford and wife, Calista Flockhart are selling their beautiful Gerard Colcord designed Brentwood house. Harrison Ford bought this house back in 1983 for $1 million and the asking price for it now is $8.295 million. But be aware, the house is already in scroll position. The moment I saw this house I knew it wouldn’t be on the market for a long time.

Harrison Ford’s new house for sale is located on a .79 acre lot, 7,164 square feet main house plus one-bedroom guesthouse and two additional detached staff suites. Per the listing, the country colonial-style home, originally designed by Colcord in 1951, has “been restored to exacting standards & with great respect for the classic architecture.” Features include: polished wood floors, paneled walls, beau moldings, extensive built-ins, four original fireplaces, a wine cellar, a detached workshop, and swimming pool.

Gated

Harrison Ford’s house is located in Bentwood.

Foyer

Minimum, with beautiful architecture. Notice the mirror by the all. It creates the illusion of continuation of the space, making it feel larger and brighter. A good “trick” when selling your house. Expand the space with mirrors!

Living Room

Classic, comfortable and simple.

Dining Room

I’m a big fan of this dining room. Its paneled walls and beams create a more formal environment but the furniture brings a casual-chic feel to it.

Kitchen

Can you imagine Harrison and Calista cooking here? They seem to be very down-to-earth and I really can picture them preparing dinners here.

Family Room

Comfy and cozy family room and solarium.

Office

I’m a huge fan of built-ins, especially in offices.

Lounge

A place to talk and enjoy the garden view.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom feels heavenly with its neutral palette and high ceilings.

LA Land

The stunning views of LA from the master’s balcony.

Sitting Area

Beautiful sitting area off the master bedroom. I love seeing the mix of creamy white walls, dark furniture and blue accessories.

Bathroom

The new owners should change the marble for a lighter one, such as carrara and add some interesting light fixture for a quick fix. This bathroom has good “bones”.

Guest Bedroom

This is how you’re treated when you’re Harrison and Calista’s guest. Not so bad, huh? :-)

Color Me Up

Oh, I love this room!

Red

An eclectic bedroom.

Kids

Adorable and charming at the same time.

Splash

The property is surrounded by trees and very private. The pool looks very inviting.

Green

Peaceful backyard.

Goal

Just bring a soccer ball!

Summer

Are you ready for summer? I can’t wait for it!!

View

An expansive (and expensive) view of Los Angeles.

Did you enjoyed touring Harrison Ford’s house? What did you like the most? I really enjoyed seeing the dining room and master bedroom, but this house has an overall nice feeling. It feels calm and serene.

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

***

Did you have a good weekend? Mine was a difficult one. My daughter is feeling sick with really high fever and I’ve been to the hospital three times with her. We’re back today, after yet another long day and she’s doing better tonight. You guys know how important my kids are to me and my heart just feels lost whenever they’re not 100%. But, the good news is that she’s getting better and I’m praying for her to wake up without any fever tomorrow.

I feel so proud of her. She was a trooper today while getting an IV for the first time. We can learn so much with our kids…

I’ll let you know how’s she’s doing soon, ok?

Thank you and have great and heathy week. I’m praying for that!

  1. I love this home! The lines are awesome, and the aesthetic is so clean, warm, and inviting. If ‘I had a million dollars, I could buy anything…’ I mean 8.295 million dollars!

  2. I would stay in any one of those secondary bedrooms. I thought they were stunning – but I really likes the green and turquoise room. That desk makes me swoon!

I am so glad your child is feeling better – my heart always hurts when my children are not 100%. I feel your pain.

What a perfectly liveable and inviting house. It’s refreshing to see a big time celebrity live like a regular person. Wonder where they are moving?

  4. Wow! One beautiful home! I love everything in this house from start to finish, although I could live without the stark white upholstery. Such character throughout and you can tell that the art is collected over time. Beautiful.
I hope that you and your family have had a great weekend, Luciane!

I just said a prayer for your daughter that she gets well. My son is my heart and, even though he’s grown, I STILL get nervous and upset when he isn’t feeling well. So I understand…

P.S. Beautiful house, I’d buy it! Although I’d warm up the interior. It’s too modern with the decorations for my taste. Like they’d care what I thought. ;)

  6. I’m so sorry to hear about your daughter! I also really love this home. It’s tasteful inside & out. I think you’re right that it will sell fast!

Beautiful home. I agree with changing the marble in the bathroom. I can see why this home would sell quickly for anyone with that amount of money to spend. Love the privacy.
