Home Bunch - Interior Design Ideas

This beautiful waterfront apartment was totally renovated and decorated by the Spanish interior designer Marisa González Serna. All she really wanted was to maximize the water views and expand the natural light but as you’ll see, she transformed this place into a modern, open-concept apartment with so much style and personality.

Marisa mixed antiques with modern and classic furniture to create a harmonious balance and to compliment the architecture of the space. If you asked me to define it, I’d say it’s a very elegant, very charming and yet a very comfortable place.

I hope you enjoy it.

I appreciate a designer that knows how to bring the outdoors in. This room feels part of that beautiful view.

Neutral and simple. This is perfect if you don’t have much space. Always remember, less clutter = more space.

That mirror is interesting but it also reflects the light and the view making the room feel even brighter and spacious.

Keeping the walls in a light color you can play more with colors in your pillows, furniture and upholstery.

This red sideboard complements the art by Pablo Maojo.

Pop Some Color

Very fun! Why not use color? The purple chair look fabulous and the “library” style add some class to the this dining room.

This is very compact and the color is a little bit too dark for me, but I love the view!

Using Every Inch

I like the clean lines of this kitchen and the stool is really stylish.

If there’s one thing that’s a must on my list, it would be a very comfortable and cozy bedroom. This one is great and I love the blue lights and blue throw and this look works very well for any season. Just change the bedding for a lighter one and you’re done.

Here or There

As you can tell, this is not a huge apartment, yet it feels bigger because it has so much natural light and the walls are in a light tone too. Lovely floors in the master.

Nicely done. Very beautiful marble sinks.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed this space. What I like the most is knowing that it used to be a very normal apartment with many walls dividing its rooms and by opening the walls the space was totally transformed and more modernized and mostly important, it became brighter. Nothing substitutes natural light and you should always remember that whenever investing in your house. Light makes a room look bigger and more pleasant.

What’s your favorite part of this place?

This a fantastic apartment – the view, natural light, and the open plan make for one very comfortable, unassuming living space. Very interesting furniture pieces, and use of color in accents and fabrics. I particularly love the combo dining/library room. Yes, I would give up 3500 square feet to live here! 🙂

  4. Hello, Karen!

Oh, I wouldn’t give up your space for anything! I love your house!

(Karen is a very close friend of mine, everyone! That’s how I know about her place. Not that I stalk my readers..lol)

My favorites are the natural light (I woke up to incredibly beautiful winter light this morning!) and the playful artwork. With light though, all the dust becomes clearly visible–my work is cut out for me today! Have a lovely day, L.

  6. I agree. M!

I love sunny days like today, but where ALL of this dust come from??? LOL

    Hello, Luciane

I really love the pink touch in the living room. Definitely, a dream home.

I hope you have a fun New Year’s celebration.

  12. Donnie said,

It would really have to be the kitchen and next to that the dining room. The table and chairs have such clean lines yet look very comfortable. I think I’m ready to declutter my kitchen after looking at that and believe me I don’t have much here. I have more in my other place. Hubby says “if you don’t love it don’t support it”. Hope he was talking about my stuff and not my self…..lol….

  13. Luciane at HomeBunch.com said,

I’m loving what your husband say! I also need to declutter (too many toys, too many things around my house) and it’s os true, we should not keep what we don’t love.

  16. kitchen stools said,

Really its very nice post, The main reason for this sea change in the world of bar stools is because more and more people are using bar stools in other rooms in the house which means that they are sitting on their stools for longer periods of time.
