If you pay a close attention, you’ll see her name in many interior design magazines. Windsor Smith is a fascinating interior designer who I’m feeling so inspired by. She lives and works in California and has influenced many people in the industry. She’s always featured on many blogs because as soon you’ll see, her style is very easy to be admired. I haven’t seen a room that she designed that isn’t purely elegant. Every room she designs is not only elegant but also has an approachable and livable feel to it.

Windsor is the kind of designer you know truly works on a space, that truly puts her knowledge and heart into the design. You’ll feel her passion for her work as you see these pictures below and hopefully you’ll appreciate her talent in each and every one of them.

Work, Anyone?

It would feel amazing to work on a space like this. Don’t you think? Gorgeous!

Tea or Coffee?

This feels so fresh and comfortable.

Think Pink

Not everyone would do this, but so many would love it.

Sweet Time

This room is beautiful by itself and the mirrors accentuates even more of its beauty.

I see this space and I think “nature”. Love the earthy tones!

This dining room feels intimate.

Everything looks so well done. That armoire is divine!

This room feels clean and easy, unless you have a small child! 🙂

Room to Roar

Very interesting and I’d love to sleep in that bed!

This is all about the details. The sofa brings some balance to the room and the huge bed. Beautiful hues.

Nature, Nature, Everywhere

That’s something I’d never think of doing: paint the inside of your doors and windows green. Do you see how it accentuates the trees outside? Isn’t it gorgeous?

Not Afraid of Green

I’ve told you guys before, I used to dislike (a nice word for hate) green but I’ve changed and really like it now. I need to add some green to my house. This is inspiring me even more.

Torte au Chocolat

Oh, so chic!

In the Mix

This is a fun and eclectic room.

That’s It

I see this picture and I feel like calling Windsor and ask if she’d come do the same to my house!

The Kitchen

Isn’t it great to enter to a place and be totally surprised? I think I’d feel this way every time I sit here.

Green & Blue

I love all the colors in this room. It feels harmonious.

Hello, Lover

Yes, I want it.

Very posh.

So, let’s appreciate perfection…

What do you think?

A comfortable and stylish space.

La Maison

Stunning dining room! I love the settee, the bench and all the different seats add interest to this divine room.

A Little Chat

Oh, pure glamour!

The most charming powder room I’ve seen so far.

A New Chapter

It’s not difficult to add interesting colors to a room. I love how she coordinated the books of the same color together. Neat!

Beautiful and rustic.

I love the idea of using an antique in a bathroom because it adds so much character.

Look Up

This kitchen is pure perfection from the floors to the celling.

I hope you’ve enjoyed Windsor Smith’s work as much I’ve enjoyed talking about her.

If you could choose a room to have her decorate for you, which one would it be? If you asked me, I would say that I wouldn’t let her leave until she’d done my whole house! After this, I’m pretty sure she would deny to come over for some tea. 🙂

Good morning, Luciane (at least it is morning where I live:) I don’t know how you come up with all these BEAUTIFUL images. Just gorgeous! Especially the pure glamour one…sigh! That designer is welcome to my house also 🙂

    Have a lovely day!

  3. She is a great interior designer! All of the rooms are beautiful, but hands down my favorite is the dining room with the “green windows.” Your right, it really does accentuate the trees outside.

  4. Dear Luciane,
I`m in love with this gorgeous table where you wrote: the sofa brings balance into the room….beautiful!

Have a inspiring and fresh january week, my friend! Beate 🙂 ♥

ooh la la. love her work. my favs are that richly paneled bedroom with the mirror (i’d never leave the room) and the rustic old bench in the furry-rustic room. here’s what i’m feelin today: just because i wouldn’t necessarily hang a mass of artwork around a doorway in my own home doesn’t mean i can’t appreciate it. there are always dozens of stories behind what we actually see in a photo. perhaps the owner had a similar arrangement in her childhood home, and this is a nostalgic reference which transports her to the past and makes her feel young. green doesn’t make my heart sing, yet it may work like Prozac for another. a sensitive designer doesn’t just create rooms showing their signature style–the space must incorporate personal idiosyncratic nods which make the owner feel at home.

i love your pretty pictures, L. thank you so much for visiting my blog!

  6. Michele,

What a comment, my dear! 🙂

    Lovely as you are!

I’ll drop by soon… I’m preparing some snack for my kids. 😉

Ah… such talent! Loved the kitchen! Luciane, thank you for you generous comments on my blog yesterday too! I found out the Dexter episode … It is season six episode 10 and towards the end of the show. I still haven’t had a chance to see it.

  8. Hey Sherri!

Thank you! I’ll take a look at it tonight! I have LOADS of laundry to fold and I’ll watch Dexter during it. 🙂

I love that sofa so much in the first picture. I’d get in a tizz about which side to sit on. They both look so lush – I think I’d end up straddling the middle so I could look both ways. 😉

These photos are heavenly. And they’re all so different. Some designers have one fab look but I really admire people who can turn their Midas hand of gold to anything they touch.

    Big hug to you, gorgeous,

  12. Sarah..

You’re so funny! I’m right there with you… so maybe we’d sit in the middle together… trying to balance our tea, ok?;-)

Lu, que lindo! eu amo este estilo clássico, rebuscado, mas vejo que isso não “pega” aqui no Brasil. Agora mesmo estou atendendo uma cliente, cujo apartamento tem esse estilo e eu amei bjs

  14. mydesignchic said,

Oh Luciane, my favorite blogging friend has done it again…fabulous!! I don’t even know where to start, there’s so much beauty. The first dining room with the green doors is wonderful. I’m like you, I’d never think to paint this color, but it’s gorgeous, and then the second dining room with the new color of the year draperies is just dreamy, and last but not least the breakfast room with the red chairs and lighting is to die for!! I love each and every room. Maybe, I’ll just sit here, relax and go through this post again and again…

  15. PriscilaPetersDecor said,

    Hello, Luciane

All the rooms look so rich. If I had to pick one I would pick all of them!

  16. Jessica said,

I can see how she’s your inspiration – everything is incredibly decadent and ornate.

I’d love her to do an entryway – could you imagine the grand statement it would make?
