This house is not a mansion and it’s not decorated in an expensive way. Rather, this house has a French flair that can easily be achieved with affordable flea market finds.
The homeowner of this house located in Spain loved the South of France and decided to renovate and decorate her house to bring a relaxed feel that the French are well-known for doing effortlessly. She felt inspired by the region and decided to decorate the entire house herself. She collected pieces with personality found in antique stores and used many others that she already had to save some money. She painted everything she could in very neutral hues.
The result is a home where anyone can feel comfortable because nothing is too precious. This is certainly a place where neutral pieces bring harmony and relaxation in a very balanced way.
Romantic House in Spain
The house is located close to the beach and it is surrounded by trees. Classic linen sofas work as canvas. You can add any kind of pillow on them to accommodate your style. Add colorful ones for some excitement, or neutral for a quieter mood. Here, the homeowner decides to keep everything calm and relaxed.
Red & White
It’s not too hard to achieve this look. I often suggest my clients to buy pillows from Etsy. I like supporting small business and you usually can find pillows for an affordable price.
This feels very French and very welcoming. I love the doors to the garden, the shutters and the linen on curtains and on the table cloth. The rug and chandelier are also perfect for the space.
Are You Nuts?
Simple and nutritious. 😉
Nap & Play
This is such a great space for a kid. You can create, play and sleep surrounded by special pieces.
Simplicity was achieved with subtle colors and minimal decor. The views bring some interest to the space. Bedding is from Filocolore.
Once again, this room is not about luxury, but simplicity. I also like the rustic feel you get with the vanity.
Beauty is always added in the details.
Everything is kept organized and away in the built-ins.
The natural surroundings and a daybed make of this balcony the perfect place to enjoy the views and the warm weather Spain has to offer.

Wouldn’t you love to be there right now? 😉
I hope you had a great weekend. Unfortunately I can’t say the same. I ended up at the hospital Thursday morning and almost had a surgery. Yes… how crazy is that? I’m not feeling very good lately, and I actually will have the surgery, but my doctor decided to wait a couple of weeks. He thinks it will be safer for me.
It’s a “simple” surgery, but the recovery is quite long, about 6 weeks and I feel very frustrated because, having a surgery isn’t fun for anyone, but it’s even harder when you have small children to take care of.
So, I’m sorry I’m a little down and worried. I know that I’ll get better soon. I just need to find courage, strength and be positive and I’m slowly getting there. 🙂
I’ll work normally until then and I’ll try to prepare posts for when I’m recovering. I’ll let you guys posted about when I’m having the surgery and all, ok? Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the beautiful homes I share with you and trust me, this keeps me motivated and helps me to forget about all of these little problems… 🙂
Thank you for being here today and I’m wishing you a very healthy, peaceful and blessed week! See you guys tomorrow.

This is a beautiful and relaxing home. I would love to be there. I hope all goes well with your surgery and that you have a quicker than usual recovery.
Hello Luciane..Your post today was so beautiful and peaceful. I will be praying for strength and a healthy recovery when your surgery does occur.
Hi Luciane. Lovely post. She has created a very welcoming home.
In the days before your surgery, make your dinners in larger quantities so you can freeze them for when you get home. I hope all goes well and I also wish you a speedy recovery.
Hi Luciane, what a beautiful home this is! I love all the pictures you posted here! Love the linen cushions too!
I definitely could live there!
Ohh dear, sorry you’re not feeling well, I hope your not serious surgery and you soon be recovered. I hope so. Don’t fear, surely you’ll be fine.
This house is gorgeous, I love it! Conveys serenity, order, elegance and comfort, what do you need? It is divine.
Wishing you the best and a healthy recovery. This is a lovely Mediterranean home. Love its casual feel, but the orange stucco on the exterior is a bit intense for me.
Sending you peaceful, healing thoughts Luciane – take the time recover your strength after the surgery and let your friends/family help you in your recovery.
Hope it all goes well and you’re back to full health soon. I always look forward to your posts.
Hi L. so sorry to hear about your situation…another big challenge to face. Remember all of us have these and none of us should ever take any of it lightly. Stay strong, work out a program that everyone, no matter what age pitches in. This is a time for all to understand and work diligently for the mother of the house….we are all mothers and when children get involved it makes it more understandable to them, not only that, someday, they too will have to help out with their own families.
Don’t feel down on yourself, keep positive, ask for help, involve the family….You will see all will be willing and more compassionate.
with kindness, Sel
I hope you feel better and it’s a shame you have to have surgery. I hope all goes well and you are back to normal soon.
Loving, healing, positive energy coming your way. Moments like this when I wish you were still living next door. 🙁 I know all will go well, but I know you could use an extra pair of hands! 😉 Tried to call & Skype. Check your voice messages. xoxo
Love this home! It is my kind of place, especially with that Spanish architecture, and the simplicity of the furnishings and decor. Does it remind you of any home you have seen before? lol
