Seeing this lake home by Kirsten Lile Interiors makes me wish I was closer to the water. I think the water always carries an energy that washes our worries away and this is exactly how I hope you feel after seeing this Texas lake house tour; more relaxed and lighter. “My clients had owned their lake house on Lake Kiowa, Texas for years. We were in the process of remodeling their home when it sadly caught fire and burned to the ground. Everything was lost and so the project of rebuilding a new home began. They wanted a retreat for friends and family to visit with plenty of space for relaxing, playing games, and watching their beloved Alabama football games. Bluebonnet Custom Homes build the home and was fabulous to work with their amazing craftsmen as they are a family builder in the area.
We designed the home to have a great room with kitchen, dining and living room all together so everyone can be together. The kitchen needed to be perfect for hosting large gatherings of family and friends at the lake. We made the island as large as we could with the slab we picked out. We added plenty of counter space for buffet style eating. Throughout the home my client wanted to keep a blue and white aesthetic and remain as classic as possible.” – Kirsten Lile
“Lake living is all about letting the outside in so when we designed the front of the house we wanted it to have lots of light and green space. The diamond concrete walkway heads out to the game room and driveway and I couldn’t love it more!” – Kirsten Lile

“Entryways come in all shapes and sizes. At the Lake House Project the entryway is long and has lower ceilings than the main living areas so we designed a custom runner to fill the space and I picked the largest possible lighting to maximize the height of the room without losing the view of the lake when you enter the home. The custom barn door added a texture and modern element to the space that I can’t get enough of!” – Kirsten Lile
