It’s hard to believe that Christmas is only a few weeks away and I am completely in a Christmas mood! I hope to share Christmas decor ideas with you as much as I can around here until Christmas arrives. Let’s start with this California family home beautifully decorated for the holidays . The home features elegant outdoor Christmas decor and the interiors are festive and welcoming.

An Inspiring Family Home Decorated for Christmas
Outdoor Christmas lights and wreaths make this home feel ready for the holidays.
The shingles were treated with a semi transparent sealer and left to be natural in color.
Foyer
How beautiful! This foyer was decorated in a classy and elegant way.
Paint Color
“Sherwin Williams SW 7010 White Duck”.
Floors
Floors are custom made 5/8 engineered hardwood. This is a wire brushed white oak with a custom finish.
The wainscotting is set at 42″ here.
Living Room
The living room features traditional Christmas decor and comfortable furnishings.
The trim work and finish carpentry is “Sherwin Williams Old Quaker”.
Christmas Tree
I am loving the idea of using family pictures to decorate the tree. After all, Christmas is all about family.
Kitchen
This kitchen is gorgeous and embraces Christmas in a subtle way.
The benches are custom made and upholstered with a clear vinyl cover to protect against staining.
Backsplash
The backsplash was purchased through GBI in Orange County. It was a custom mosaic.
Breakfast Nook
This breakfast nook looks fabulous with this white and blue motif.
The table and bench were both custom made. The table was given an “auto body” gloss paint finish.
Kitchen Island
This island is massive, roughly 11’x6-7′. The builder used two very large slabs and had them “bookmatched”.
Countertop
Gorgeous polished Carrara marble countertop.
Family Room
The kitchen opens to a beautifully designed family room.
Paint Color
Paint Color is Dunn Edwards “Bone”.
Sectional
Sectional is a custom piece.
Mantel Decor
The Christmas decor on the mantel was kept natural and minimal.
Braided jute rug is from Pottery Barn.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom is comfortable and features a very soothing paint color.
Paint Color is “Dunn Edwards – Covered in Platinum 25% less”.
Ceiling Paint Color: “Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee”.
Master Bedroom
The bathroom is all about marble! I am loving the marble shower tiles, marble countertop and the basketweave marble tile floors.
Shower
Half wall creates privacy and interest to this shower.
Little Girls’ Bedroom Design
Kids bedrooms should always feel enchanting and this one does! I am loving the custom headboards.
Wallpaper
Wallpaper in this adorable bathroom is the “Randal’s Retro Paisley Wallpaper”.
Floors are 1″x1″ Carrara marble inlay bordered with 6″x12″ statuary tiles.
Sweetie
Another adorable girl’s bedroom! I am loving the built-ins.
Paint Color
The walls are wallpaper, and the white trim is a “Lacquer finish 001 White”.
Trains & Toys
This bedroom is so darling! Great built-ins and decor.
Backyard
The family room opens to a dreamy backyard.
Pool & Spa
Small backyards can still have incredible pools and this shows that!
Night
Stunning pool, spa and landscaping. Who wouldn’t love to open the doors to that?!
Fire Pit
This backyard is just perfect for entertaining. I would love to spend hours with some close friends here.

I love this time of the year and I am trying to embrace every detail. I can’t wait to take a break and just enjoy Christmas with my family. This year will be the first Christmas without my grandmother and sometimes I feel sad, but at the same time I want to make of it the best of what I can. She loved Christmas and celebrated with her heart and her faith. I am going to do the same, in her memory.
