Back in the beginning of 2010 Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony bought a house in the guard-gated community of Hidden Hills in Los Angeles. Almost a year after and an extensive renovation, they’re ready to show how their house looks now. The new look of Jennifer’s house will be featured on the January/February issue of Veranda magazine but don’t expect to see her there, who will be talking about the mansion will be the interior designer Michelle Workman.
The house has 17,129 square feet, 9 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms spread throughout the the main and guest houses, gym, game room, wood-paneled 20-seat theater, wine cellar, big bonus room, a recording studio, 8 car garage, sport court, barbecue center, swimming pool/spa with gorgeous views and all of this sets on a 3 acres of land, which means… privacy! The house then was listed just under $10 million.
When Jennifer Lopez first bought the house it looked like this:
Home Sweet Home
Porte-cochere
A circular drive leads through a porte-cochere that divides the main and guest houses.
Views
Beautiful lawns and views galore.
Summer Ready
Fun pool for her whole family.
Old Foyer
This is how it used to look inside of the house. Do you like it? Or do you prefer…
New & Now
The transformation of Jennifer Lopez’s new house.
Formal Living Room
It feels really elegant.
Family Room
Comfort in every corner.
Dining Room
The wallpaper adds some texture while the light fixture makes the room feel glamourous.
Vignette
Sleek and glamorous.
Kitchen
I am in love! Aren’t you?
Nook
Cozy and charming. They chose a fabulous color for the kitchen cabinets. What do you think of the chandelier?
Bedroom
Now you know how Jennifer Lopez’s bed looks like.
Outstanding!
Star
This room is very charming and the colors are feminine but not boring. Simply beautiful.
What do you think? Is this how you’ve imagined Jennifer Lopez’s house?
I see this house being great to raise kids with the big yard, with the comfortable furnishings, and yes, it is a big house but it doesn’t feel like that seeing these pictures. It actually feels like a real home and not a “celebrity” home.
This is Jennifer Lopez’s (as “J.L.) testimonial as a client on the designer’s site:
“Thank you so much for all of your expertise and hard work on our home. Everything is so beautiful and we LOVE it!”

Luciane: We had a Great Christmas…our family skiing together with the most snow of any ski resort in the world (Mammoth Mountain). Jennifer Lopez’ house is huge but seems homey. I love the stairwell and her peachy bedroom…which I am sure is flattering to her skin tone. Very tasteful for a “glam” couple/family. Thank you!

Hi Luciane – Quite the manse – but elegant and soothing. That front hallway is certainly successfully transformed and I love the chairs in the breakfast area!
Hi Luciane, hope you had a wonderful Christmas celebration! Thanks for thinking about me! I was thinking about you too and telling my husband about you π
I love this post and I absolutely prefer the transformation. The bedroom is stunning. I love the warm colors.
Have a beautiful day, Luciane! Kristin xoxo
Hi Luciane, Wow quite a home !! yes the transformation is very elegant and subtle Im sure they will enjoy their cool and calm surroundings
happy new year and looking forward to your lovely postings Fay xx
Drool! This home is absolutely amazing! Thank you for sharing the home, Luciane. Another beautiful post from the Home Bunch!
Have a happy Tuesday.

Good morning, L.
I checked out the link to the fab bathroom–love the expanse of white tile. Since the bath will serve 2 young men, I may avoid all that grout. Feelin that? I’ll let you know! Did you ever see Jennifer’s restaurant featured in one of Rachel Ashwell’s books a few yrs back? It’s the most elegant, personal, old Cuba, feminine space, and I fell in LOVE with it. I’m not surprised there is a lack of color in this new house, but I am surprised there are not more SURPRISES, ya know? The couple obviously need a lot of calm which I totally get!
It’s a joy getting to know you too! Keep up the outstanding work.
p.s. My blog will soon be hellolovelyinc.blogspot.com instead of just the dot com.

Luciane, what a beautiful house, Yes, I much prefer the new staircase to the old one. Very fresh & modern, it’s a gorgeous home. Thanks for stopping by to say hi!
Luciane, just love a neutral decor. I’ve redone a lot of my house in neutrals and I adore it, so calm and serene. Can’t wait to see what you buy…so exciting!!
Luciane,
Great post! I love Jennifer Lopez home. Especially that staircase. I would love to own a home like that.
It’s nice to see a celebrity with a home that’s not the traditional California ones. Usually most celebrities buy the Spanish or contempory homes, which I am not a fan of or my style.
Hello, Kim!
Welcome to my blog!
I agree with you! I like her house because it doesn’t look like a celebrity house and it feels very sophisticated.

Oi, Luciane!
Como foi seu Natal? Com certeza, com muita neve.
Linda a casa da Lopez, ela gosta bastante deste tom de azul, vi fotos de outra casa dela com estes mesmos tons – bege e azul.
Beijos.
I love how understated her home is and very tasteful. Other than her extremes for award nights Jennifer Lopez has always showed a lot of class in her clothes and it shows in her home. I really liked it.
Luciane, it is just gorgeous. Yes, I love it and I could live there. Every room was so pretty and such great eye candy and inspiration. It doesn’t look stuffy, just comfortable. Love it. Hugs, Marty
Wow! I love the design of the interior, simple yet elegant. Not so sure about the exterior though, seems kind of plain. Love everything else, like the 8 car garage and home theatre.
I have to admit, I am surprised! I expected something a little more over-the-top, but really like the relaxed and real feel-but still with a hint of glamor. Thanks so much for popping over today, and for your sweet comment! Made me happy. Loving your blog!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I am a total bath person so I loved the bath in your previous post! That is my me time – a bath every day – how I hate a place without a bath!
I adore the chandelier in the bedroom. That would be fun to have lit and have on the dimmer. Definitely more understated than I would have guessed. I love the pale blues and I am not a blue person, but it is such a fun new color and I am enjoying it. Her dining room is fabulous too. Hope you have fun plans for New Years.
Hi Luciane! What a beautiful home – thanks for sharing it – what a treat! The foyer transformation says everything! My favorites … oh so many, but the kitchen, that bedroom chandelier and the formal living room. I would be very happy there ;.) xo Sherri
I saw a home of Jennifer Lopez’ a few years ago and liked her taste then. This is so beautiful. Lovely, lovely, lovely.
Nothing quite like nosing around celebrities’ homes!!!
Happy New Year, gorgeous girl.

Dear Luciane,
our christmas was full of family laughter, tons of good food (my poor hips!), winter walks, playing old games and watching a little bit tv about german people living near by the yukon (was sooo interesting!)
What a wonderful house, Luciane! She got style and class, no doubt….and a little bit money to spend π
Great views, lots of space, perfect choosen colours…a dream house! π
I want to wish you and your family a *very good* New Year! May all your wishes come true and stay as you are, because you are a wonderful person!
Hugs, Beate π
Oh wow! I love this! I have always loved J-Lo, although her movies are not my favorites, there is just something about her that feels real to me. Definitely a dream house!
Romantic and beautiful !
Bonnie,
Thank You for your comment!

Wow so simple and pretty!!!!! Very feminine all around!!! Was Jlo married then? Seems light and airy.. Not too stuffy for a mansion type of home which I love. Must say the best feature in that house is the black and gold art deco Stove!!!!!!! WOW
Great pics, but I need to correct you on one small point. The bedroom shown is not Ms. Lopez”s Master Suite. The room shown here is the smaller guest bedroom which is downstairs and close to the servant’s quarters. The Master is much bigger, upstairs, and includes a large, seperate retreat area with double french doors leading to a private balcony. If you’re wondering how I know this, my father designed and built the original 10,000 sq. ft. house and it was our family home for 10 years!
