Family Home with Neutral Interiors

This fantastic home has neutral rooms that will make you forget about white interiors and wish you could see warmer spaces more often.

With stone walls and dark stained beams, this home has no space for boredom, and the architectural details really speak for themselves. This is the kind of house that feels spacious, yet you notice the spaces aren’t wasted. After all, aren’t we a little tired of seeing huge homes with spaces that seem to never be used? Can you actually feel at home in places like that? This house feels complete and you only get this feeling when the rooms have the right proportions.

Foyer

Very unique and warm. The stones can be a little too heavy for some, but I think it brings personality to this house.

Living Room

I love the coastal vibe of this living room. These stunning chairs are from Vanguard Furniture.

Details

Decorate always with your style in mind.

Ceiling

Sources: The fans are from QUORUM; item #72565-24 in Walnut with ASHFIELD PECAN blades, hardwood flooring is from Anderson, Virginia Vintage (#VW5496) in Trace.

Fluffy

This pillow has a beautiful fabric and it feels even more special with the covered buttons.

Dining Room & Kitchen

The dining room opens to the kitchen and has a chic, yet casual feeling to it.

Kitchen

The backsplash in the kitchen (by the widow) is Daltile; Marble Collection M722 1″x2″ split face in Crema Marfil Classico. Colors: the island is done in custom color: SW6212 QUIETUDE. Countertops:  Giallo Napoleon granite on the perimeter of the kitchen and Labrador Antique on the island. Stone and tiles around the range: tile is from StoneImpressions.com (Altalena, Sienna) and stone is Environmental Stoneworks (Ledgestone, Autumn).

Den

The den has a calming pallet and more than enough storage. The tortoise blinds can be found at Home Depot or Lowes.

Letters

Coastal inspired.

Laundry Room

You simply don’t have any excuse to be disorganized in a laundry like this, you even have an island for ironing and to fold clothing! I really need something like this. With a family of five, you have no idea how much laundry I do around here! :-)

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom feels quite formal, but I love some items in this room. The color is fantastic!

Guest Bedroom

I adore this bedroom! It’s gracious and delicate, almost like a fancy dress, just add a chandelier and it would be perfect!

Curtains

You can find many beautiful surprises in this room.

Pillows

Don’t be shy on pillows. Make it comfy for your guests.

Sparkles

Headboard detail.

Guest Bedroom

This is a classic boy’s room. A child can grow up in a room like this and you can make little adjustments as they grow. Perfect to save some money and have a beautiful room for many years to come. You can find a similar rug here.

Blue

Aren’t those ottomans great?

Basement’s Foyer

The distressed buffet adds some charm and interest to the basement’s foyer. Perfect color!

Family Room

This is just a wonderful space to have friends over for games and to have fun.

Family Room & Games Room

This is the kind of games’ room I could have at home. Fun, bright and stylish! I also love the design on the back of the chairs.

Wall color: Sherwin Williams Basket Beige SW 614.

Bar

The bar is huge and perfect for entertaining. I really like the seahorse prints.

Iced

What’s your poison? ;-)

I simply loved this home. I think it feels unique in so many levels and it also feels warm. I really enjoy white interiors, white kitchens and all of that, but it’s also wonderful to see homes that take another approach, another direction.

Well, not my kind of decoration, but I admit it’s a great house, with large spaces and the wonderful laundry, i just change the color of the wood, maybe white? :)
