Home Bunch - Interior Design Ideas

This shingle style family home is filled with pleasant surprises beginning with the highly unique property the home sits on. With over 3+ acres to work with the design team took full advantage of the space by including features rarely found in a city setting. Upon entering the home guests will enjoy custom amenities including an abundance of natural light, sweeping views, and intricate millwork. At each turn, and on every level, the home’s craftsmanship continues to reveal a home that is simply perfect for family living.

Shingle Style Family Home

Stunning gray shingles and a sunny front porch.

What a fantastic entryway with innovative custom closet.

Front door is by Pellar doors. Dresser is by Charlotte & Ivy.

Living Room

This living room is charming and very bright. I love the ceiling and the stone fireplace.

This is definitely a “wow” kind of room! 🙂

Notice the great color palette and layout.

Transitional Kitchen

This kitchen is very open, with minimum upper cabinets. I love how clean and simple it feels… should we can it “zen kitchen”?

Light fixture are the “Goodman Hanging Lamp by Thomas O’Brien”.

Kitchen & Eating Area

Inspiring architecture and design. I love the dining area with its chandeliers and the light wood tones.

Dining Room

French doors connects the dining room with the outdoors.

Landing Area

This area is perfect for kids! Fantastic built-ins and windows.

Reading Nook

With plenty of space and style, this reading area is a great space to relax, read or for the kids to do their homework — see picture above.

Little Girl’s Bedroom

Built for a princess! Note the built-in desk.

Boy’s Bedroom

Sweet paint color with a very “Restoration Hardware” look. I really like the window treatment.

This master bedroom is full of inspiration and beauty.

Bathroom Cabinetry

The vanity in this bathroom is quite compacted but with plenty of storage space.

Sconces are “Vendome Single Sconce by Circa Lighting”.

Bathroom Design

Lovely and cozy bath nook… How wonderful should be to take a bath there.

Basement Family Room

Great basement family and home gym.

Basement Ideas

This is a very well-designed basement with a family room, bar and wine room.

Nice textures are found here.

Wine Room

Nice effect is created by the stones between the racks.

Stools are” Vintage Toledo Barstool by Restoration Hardware.”

Laundry Room

This is a stunning laundry room! I am loving the dark palette found here. It’s masculine with a hint of industrial.

Gorgeous architecture! I also love the patio and porch with slate flooring. It looks really good with the shingles.

What’s your absolutely favorite room in this house?

Just wanted to log on to say hello on this Happy Thanksgiving holiday, here in the U.S. I think you are in Canada, no? So, if so, you might have had your holiday already. So I hope it was a good one! But I am counting my blessings this Thanksgiving and giving thanks for nice people like you that I have come in contact with in my life and in blogland. I don’t blog really anymore, but I always think of you Luciane. Love to you and your family.

Really nice home – I liked the light from the windows in the landing area. Really, I loved all the rooms! I’m not normally into wine cellars but this one wasn’t too bad, and I think it was the gorgeous flowers that softened it.

Can you please tell me the exterior color used for this Shingle house and the name of the stone?

Absolutely love the Shingle Style Family Home! Beautiful. I’d love to know what kind of stone was used on the stone fireplace in the living room. Would so appreciate it if you could point me the direction of where I could possible find this stone…

  6. Hi Mirjana,

I always try to share all the sources available to me on each post. Feel free to contact the designer for more specific details.

    Thank you!
