Hello, everyone! It’s really wonderful to be back with a new post to share with you guys and I am truly happy to be sharing this home remodel with Before and After pictures.
Here, the designer, Corine Maggio of CM Natural Designs (previously featured here, here, here and here), shares more details about this project: “When you are designing for a family with four young boys durability is a priority! Beyond being as child-proof as possible, the challenge/goal was to blend the Mediterranean style house with the clients south eastern aesthetic. After all was said and done we are proud that the outcome is something that will support this lively family for years to come.”
I hope you have a good time, my friend and thank you so much for your visit! 🙂
I love seeing “Before and After” renovations, especially kitchen ones. This renovation is really impressive. The entire space feels brighter and bigger.
The cabinets were replaced and painted in Benjamin Moore White Dove OC -17.
Kitchen Cabinet Details: Charleston Windsor Style.
Backsplash Tile: here – similar.
Faucet: Newport Brass.
This early 2000’s kitchen felt very dark and the kitchen island wasn’t placed in the ideal position.
Adding a narrower but longer island makes this kitchen feel more spacious and more functional.
Perimeter Countertop: Caesarstone 2030 Haze.
Kitchen Island Dimension: 52 Depth, 58 Length.
Island Paint: Benjamin Moore 2061-20 Champion Cobalt.
Countertop: Taj Mahal Quartzite.
Kitchen Runner: Dash Albert.
As you will see below, some fresh paint and decor can really change a room!
The dining room feels welcoming, restful and classic.
Baskets on wall provided by all Across Africa – similar here.
Ceiling Treatment: Beaboard.
The family room is yet another room of the house that looked really dark, tired and neglected.
What a huge difference, right?! New cabinetry, a neutral paint color on walls and comfortable furniture makes this room feel so much more inviting! Wall paint color is Dunn Edwards DEW 385 Lighthouse.
Fabric for Side Chair Recover: Ralph Lauren; LCF64799F-RL.
Fireplace Tile: Waterworks white glossy distressed 2×8 – similar here.
The other side of the family room features a computer station where the kids do their homework. I think this idea is wonderful, especially if there isn’t a tv in the room.
Wallpaper: Anthropologie Indigo.
Chair: here – similar.
The home office used to open to the family room and didn’t feel private.
The designer added a wall to separate the space from the other rooms and added more custom cabinetry for storage.
Desk: Hickory Chair; Asheworth Campaign Desk, Light Walnut – Other Beautiful Desks: here.
Blue Paint in Built-in: Dunn Edwards DE 5811 Summer Night.
Desk Lamp: Uttermost Malcolm.
Rug: Safavieh; Vintage Stone.
What a dreamy mudroom! Having lockers with doors keep all of the mess hidden and everything looks clean and organized! 🙂
Flush Mount: Visual Comfort.
Runner: here – similar.
