Home Bunch - Interior Design Ideas

It’s really wonderful to have Julie Smith of Jula Cole Design (previously featured here) back on HomeBunch. I am feeling very inspired by this designer’s fresh approach and this kitchen design should inspire you, especially if you’re loving this new kitchen trend: painted cabinets mixed with stained wood.

Here, the designer shares more details about this kitchen renovation:

“This was a fully gutted kitchen and living room renovation. The home was stuck in the early 2000’s with maple cabinets and old-school granite. The clients were craving a fun tile which was the inspiration for the project. I chose a Tabarka tile with a fun pattern and built everything around that. I wanted to make sure I was adding lots of wood to add warmth and ground the space as the ceilings were more than 11’. The oversize pendants were another element we used to play with scale.” – Julie Smith of Jula Cole Design.
