Home Bunch - Interior Design Ideas

Located in one of the most preserved places in America, Palmetto Bluff, in Bluffton, South Carolina, this classic home is pure elegance from the start to finish, and the interiors seem to perfectly reflect the beautiful surroundings of this property.

This classic home has incredibly well-designed interiors with inspiring millwork, a gorgeous crisp white kitchen and a bathroom that can easily be added to anyone’s wish list.

With a soothing color pallete, the interior designer Linda McDougald from Postcard from Paris added classic elements mixing with some rustic choices, making of this home an interesting place to see and probably, a unforgettable place to live.

Classic Home

This front door is very classic and elegant. This is a mahogany door with a walnut stain. Door Measurements: 3′ door with 12″ side lights on either side.

The foyer is welcoming and I especially love the floors and millwork. Paint Color: Benjamin Moore Berkshire Beige AC-2 / Flat. Trims are Sherwin Williams pure white.

The console table is from Century Furniture and the chair is from Restoration Hardware. The floors are reclaimed heart pine floors with a dark custom ebony and dark walnut stain. The scones are from Avrett.

The artwork is by Shannon Plourde, an artist in Greenville, SC.

This white kitchen is modern, yet classic. The island is about 9′ long. Cooktop is by Viking and the fridge is the GE Monogram. Counters are honed absolute black granite.

White Cabinets

The cabinets are painted in Sherwin Williams Pure White SW7005 Satin, and the walls are Benjamin Moore Berkshire Beige AC-2 / Flat.

The hardware is from Top Knobs USA. Size: 7”, Faucet is by Rohl, Sink is Shaw Original Sink from Rohl / RC3018 in white.

Beautiful and practical. The backsplash is Crossville tile / Savoy series gloss white / 1×2 mosaic and the professional cooktop is a Viking 36″ Gas.

Dining Room

The dining room has plenty of natural light thanks to the French doors and windows.

It can be purchased at Lighting Universe. Scones are Avrett. The dining room buffet is a 18th Century French antique. The mirror is from Pottery Barn.

The table and chairs (fabric color: sand) are by Restoration Hardware. The French doors are 8′ tall Mahogany french doors. The rug is a one-of-a- kind antique Persian Tabriz rug. The draperies were custom made from Robert Allen Sheer Linen.

Living Room

The sofa is from Restoration Hardware, the end tables are antiques. Rug is a custom made from Stark Carpets (Natura 100% Sisal, Color: Platinum). The chair by Drexel Heritag and the light fixture is the “Classic Ring Chandelier” by Circa Lighting.

The dimensions of the rooms combined are approximately 22′ x 20′.

The  master bedroom has a neutral pallet, which makes the room feel very serene and relaxing.

Sleeping Beauty

Sources: The lamp is by Jamie Young. The wall treatment used here is 10″ wide paint grade tong and groove boards. The bedding is a combination of Matteo bedding and custom duvet and throw pillow with fabric from Threads by Lee Jofa. Wall color: Benjamin Moore Berkshire Beige AC-2 / Flat. Trim is Sherwin Williams Pure White.

The headboard was custom-made and was upholstered in a Kravet fabric. The nightstands are by Restoration Hardware and the rug is from Pottery Barn.

You simply can’t go wrong with turquoise in bathrooms. The wall color is Sherwin Williams Silver Mist / SW 7621.

The countertop is carrera marble and the faucet is by Hansgrohe.

This is perfectly designed and even comes with croissants! How great is that? 😉

I love the surroundings of this home. It seems to be so peaceful…

White Tulips

My kind of therapy: go to the market on a bike and buy your favorite flowers. 🙂

How are you doing today? Did you enjoy your weekend? We’re currently going through yet another snowstorm (does it ever end?) and it’s so windy!  I honestly can’t wait for spring. But regardless of bad weather, we had a wonderful weekend. We had our weekly hockey night with the kids, spent some good time together, laughed, enjoyed being at home and my husband even managed to make some delicious food for us.

I hope you guys have a very blessed week and thank you so much for stopping by today! 🙂

Big hugs to you!

With Love,

Perfect way to start the week with a design feast like this one, thank you Luciane. That porch is a knock-out! The strawberries and croissants complete my fantasy!
Oh, and that sink in the corner of the kitchen with all the windows took my breath away.
I can only send you some virtual warmth from here–spring is evident with tulips up about 5″. But I grew up with lots of cold and snow– your children are blessed for the experience. I think a lot of my strength comes from surviving blizzards in my earlier days!
