Craftsman Kitchen
Craftsman Kitchen Renovation: The designer goal was to redesign, refresh, and update a family kitchen within the design aesthetic of this original 1909 Craftsman home in South Pasadena. Careful attention was given to the finish choices and use of custom white lacquered inset cabinetry gave the space an open and light feeling.
Craftsman Kitchen Wall Paint Color: Benjamin Moore Ozark Shadows (AC-26)
Walnut Countertop: The island butcherblock and desktop were both fabricated with black walnut. In this installation the walnut was stained and sealed with a lacquer-base finish, protecting the wood from future moisture and staining issues. There is no maintenance with these walnut tops as long as simple precautions are made, such as use of a cutting board and trivets to protect it from heat. Walnut happens to be an extremely hard wood, so, while beautiful, the wood tops are also very durable.

Countertop and Backsplash Combo Ideas: The perimeter countertops used in this kitchen were Caesarstone and the color was Raven. The backsplash tile used in this project was Pratt and Larson’s W87 watercolor field tile.

The wall color is Benjamin Moore CC-890 Blue Pearl. The ceiling was wallpapered in Serena and Lily’s Lamu Pewter wallpaper.

Mudroom Paint Color
Mudroom Color Palette: The paint colors used in this project were Benjamin Moore Super White (PM-1) for the wainscoting, beadboard ceiling, baseboard and casement. And, on the walls, the designer used Benjamin Moore Collingwood (OC-28).

Bathroom Pocket Door
Small Bathroom Door Solution: This was a tiny space so a 24 inch pocket door was used. The width of the wall was approximately 55 inches, allowing for the 24 inch door plus 24 inch return and 3.5 inch casement molding on each side of the door opening.
Pocket Hardware: The designer used Emtek mortised pocket door hardware on this pocket door.
Wall Tile: The wainscoting tile is Walker Zanger 6th Avenue subway tile in pewter gloss.
Floor Tile: The floor tile is the Stripe Mosaic from the Walker Zanger Shift collection.

Tile
The tile used in this bathroom was Jeffrey Court Breakwater Tile. It is 6″ x 18″ and actually has a slight linen texture to it (although it is hard to see the texture from the photo). The color is mist gloss.
Tub: The tub used in this project was the Kohler Underscore tub. It measures 60″ long x 32″ wide x approximately 20″ deep.

Floating Vanity
The floating vanity paint color is Benjamin Moore Shoreline. This powder room wall features a glass tile mosaic by New Ravenna. The pattern name is Loom Mosaic.
Dimensions: The vanity area of this bathroom measured 7′-6″ by 6′-3″.

Powder Room
The designer goal was to transform this powder room into a jewel box within the home. By installing a white marble wainscoting and constructing a geometric molding detail on the ceiling, they strove to make the space special and unique, yet calm and comfortable. Without an interior window, the designer kept the color palette light and bright. Above the custom vanity they installed a Phillip Jeffries Blue Abaca wallcovering accented by crystal and polished nickel details. Paint and lacquer were Dunn Edwards White Picket Fence.

Gray Bathroom Paint Color
The paint used in this space was Benjamin Moore Silver Chain 1472. It’s a great warm gray that does not read as blue.
The tub used in this project was the by Penhaglion. It is the Pershore cast iron French bateau tub with a burnished aluminum skirt.
Light fixture is a Restoration Hardware 1920s Odeon Clear Glass Fringe Rectangular Chandelier 49″.

Bathroom Floor Tile
Arabesque Bathroom Floor Tile: According to the designer, the tiles used in this master bathroom project were actually custom made based on their design and materials specification. They purchased the tile through Mission Tile in South Pasadena, California. They designed the arabesque shape and border and then had the tile fabricated from laser-cut honed bardigio marble (for the dark gray inset) and polished thassos marble for the trellis border.

Best Light Gray Cabinet Paint Color: Benjamin Moore 1471 Shoreline.
Vanity Width: This vanity was 54 inches wide. It was made up of 2, 15 inch drawer base units that flanked the 24 inch sink base.
Wallpaper: The wallpaper used in this bathroom was Serena and Lily’s Herringbone wallpaper in Aqua.

Benjamin Moore 1611 Graytint is one of the most soothing pale gray paint colors I have seen and it’s perfect for bathrooms.

Vanity Dimensions
This bathroom was particularly narrow so the designer built this vanity 18″ deep to allow plenty of room within the bathroom.

Timeless Bathroom Tile Combination
Flooring Tile: The perimeter border tile used in this bath project was a polished 4″ x 12″ statuary marble paver. Then, the designer used white statuary marble in a basketweave format for the tile mosaic inset; the grout used was Customblend Bright White. Wall Tile: The tiles used on the walls is Sonoma Tilemakers Pure Collection.
The bath fixtures are all from the Newport Brass Chesterfield Collection in a polished chrome finish.
