This shingle farmhouse is the perfect blend of traditional and contemporary style. Setting was a vital component for this project, surrounded by conservation land within a 72-acre saltwater farm in Portsmouth, RI.
Unlike many farmhouses, this place embraces an open design floorplan. The interiors have a beautiful connection with their surroundings that can easily be enjoyed using the many porches.
This farmhouse has an impeccable architecture in a very special land. Beauty can be seen in every direction and while this home is surrounded by beauty, it is its approach to uncomplicated design that makes everything blend in such a harmonious manner.
This house shows us that we shouldn’t overdo our interiors. Keeping them a little bare can make us feel lighter and more relaxed. This home gives us the feeling that you can finally breathe inside… nothing feels busy and suffocating.
I hope you enjoy its lightness…
This charming shingle farmhouse was designed by Aquidneck Properties and Paul Burke Architects.
A shingle home is always charming. This entrance is welcoming and classic. Notice the Dutch doors and the stonework.
The foyer was kept to a minimum, but what really grabs my attention here is the stunning Dutch door.

Privacy, beauty and nature. For many, this is paradise!
Is this paradise for you too?
I hope you enjoyed seeing this elegant farmhouse. I love how uncluttered the interiors feel.
One more thing, make sure to drop by tomorrow. I prepare a very special post that took me about a week to prepare. It’s one of those kind of post that you want to bookmark and keep it handy when you want to refresh your interiors! 😉 So, I will see you back here tomorrow… deal?! 😉
Have a great day, my friends!
A BIG hug to all!
