Brisbane-based interior designer, Leigh Boswell of Highgate House, recently designed this stunning Australian home for a beautiful family of six. The homeowners wanted the interiors to have a casual, Sydney beach house vibe and the interior designer, together with her talented team, certainly delivered.
This is a home that if I moved into I wouldn’t change a thing… and that’s rare for me to say!

The home features plenty of space for the kids to play and the adults to entertain.
Architecture Details: The home features traditional elements with a hint of Colonial and Caribbean influences.
When it comes to the interiors, the homeowner aimed for a Hamptons-meets-Queensland vibe, and this talented interior designer delivered in every room.
Furnishings are available through the designer but I will be sharing similar items, to make it easier if you live in North America.

A double-sided Sandstone fireplace separates the living room from the kitchen and breakfast room.
The wall paint color is Resene Quarter Thorndon Cream.
This home is very well-balanced with a relaxed feel with just a hint of formality.

I love kitchens of all colors but white is always a classic and truly timeless choice. The paint color is Resene Alabaster.
Kitchen Island Dimensions: Island is approx. 3mts x 1.2mts.
Chandelier is from a local company – similar here (if sprayed with white paint – smaller size).
This kitchen island is breathtaking! I am loving the combination of the thick countertop with the chunky island posts. Glass windows behind the range gives an airy feel to this entire kitchen. The pantry is located on the right.
Countertop is reconstituted stone.
Kitchen cabinetry features a hand-painted finish.

The formal living room feels collected without feeling stuffy, which is always best. Ceiling features boxed beams with tongue and groove.

The living room features the same restful palette of whites, greys and navy.
Pillows are available through the designer.
In the master bedroom, the medium-stained White Oak hardwood flooring complements the neutral and restful color scheme.
Recently renovated, this bathroom features beveled white subway tile chair rail and tongue and groove.
Bathroom paint color is Resene Alabaster.
