This drop back bungalow style home was designed to perch on a steep shoreline, allowing homeowners to get the most out of their space.  The main level of the home accommodates gatherings with easy flow between the living room, dining area, kitchen, and outdoor deck.  The midlevel offers a lounge, bedroom suite and the master bedroom, complete with access to a private deck.  The family room, kitchenette, and beach bath on the lower level open to an expansive backyard patio.  At the top of the nest is the loft area, which provides a bunk room and extra guest bedroom suite.

Designed by Visbeen Architects and interiors by Benchmark Wood Studio, this home brings bungalow home design to the next level, with style, inspiring architecture and views that will certainly impress you. Take a look!

Bungalow Style Home

You start falling in love with this drop back bungalow style home as soon you see it. Everything was beautifully designed and inspired by the gorgeous views of the Lake Michigan.

The front door was selected by Benchmark Wood Studio.

Entryway

A built-in bench and storage greet guests as they walk in to enjoy the amazing vistas surrounding this ranch style home.

Hardwood Flooring

The floors are white-washed European oak.

A Room with a View

The color scheme in this living room was inspired by the beautiful colors you see outside. Isn’t it relaxing?

This white kitchen epitomizes beach house living.

You get a great look here with the crisp white cabinets against the beige wall paint color (Sherwin Williams SW7037) and the gray granite countertops.

Deck

Can’t beat dining al fresco with a view like this!

Home Office Paint Color

A home office just off of the kitchen and garage can be used as a drop/charging station and a pleasant place to do household management tasks.

Cabinets Paint Color: The paint color on the cabinets is “Stratton Blue HC 142 by Benjamin Moore” with a glaze on top.

Master Bedroom Paint Color

A “favorite paint color for Master Bedrooms”: “Benjamin Moore 2138-50 Misted Green”.

Sweet Dreams

The master bedroom is complete with a luxurious en suite bath and access to a private deck overlooking Lake Michigan’s shoreline.

Bathroom

Family Room

The family room, kitchenette, and beach bath on the lower level open to an expansive backyard patio.

Note the stained concrete flooring — they are durable and perfect for a beach house.

Kitchenette

The family room in the lower level offers a game table and kitchenette — perfect for entertaining!

Mudroom Paint Color

Built in mudroom/locker space just off the lower level patio offers the perfect space to organize beach toys, towels and accessories.

“Turquoise Paint Color”: “Sherwin Williams, Seacliff Heights”.

Bungalow Design

This stunning four-story bungalow style home was designed to perch atop a steep shoreline, allowing homeowners to get the most out of their space.

Drop back Bungalow

Beautiful architectural details.

Beach House Design

Here, you see the South Haven’s pier. I can picture going for a long walk here… wouldn’t that be nice?

Dream Patio

An expansive backyard patio completes the lower level of this four-story bungalow.

For Two

Can we skip Spring and get to Summer already? :-)

Hi, my friends! How are you doing today? I am feeling happy and I hope I could share a little bit of this good energy through this post with you.

I think I got in this happy mood after talking to a very good friend of mine. I admit, I feel I should get in touch with my friends more often, but having a busy life like I do, it can get really hard sometimes to have time to call or get together, but I know I should do this more often.

I love talking for hours… Who needs a therapist when you have a really good friend (or all of you) to talk to, right? :-)

Yes… I am feeling very blessed right now for having some wonderful people in my life!

Look around and I am sure you’ll see someone that has always being there for you too.

Let’s pay attention to that today, and then, let’s share our gratitude with them.

 with Love,
