Beach houses come in every size and style. Sometimes they are in move-in ready condition, other times they need to go through a full renovation to show their full potential.
The homeowners of this shingle and stone beach house knew this place could become their dream home but it surely needed help — lots of help! The location was ideal but the interiors needed to be updated to suit their needs. Alisberg Parker Architects renovated this beach house respecting the location and created an open feel to the entire house by adding plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows and a very soothing color palette.
Take a look at this beautiful coastal home and tell me… wouldn’t you love to live here?
Beach Front Shingle Style Reno
How does your dream living room looks like? I can say this one has my name all over it! I love the color palette, the textures and the subtle coastal approach to this room.
The two story living room features walls clad in horizontal groove panels fitted with TV niche illuminated by sconces over a slate fireplace flanked by custom built-in bookcases.
The table lamp on the console is the “Mr. Brown Escalante Lamp in Dripped Silver”.
Beautiful decorative pieces play well against this neutral color palette. Notice the subtle feminine touches coming from fresh flowers and a lavender throw.
Blue Pillows Fabric: “Kelly Wearstler Katana Fabric in Jade/Teal”
The classic white kitchen features beamed ceilings and plenty of counter space.
Kitchen countertop is honed black granite.
The second floor landing features a blue gray grasscloth wallpaper and an elegant taupe hall runner. I can’t help but love this soothing and calming space. Isn’t it beautiful?

How are you guys doing today? We are freezing around here… it’s being so cold and we have so much snow on the ground that I am truly tired of the winter. I am trying to balance all of this cold with plush throws around the house and plenty of comfort food… including dark chocolate! 🙂
I hope you guys have a wonderful day filled with sunshine!
We’ll talk soon!

Dark chocolate sounds wonderful 😀
I am wondering if you could source the children’s bunk room light fixture. It looks like capiz flowers. Is it still on the market?
