Asked to renovate a New Canaan, Connecticut home, the talented architects of Brooks and Falotico Associates, Inc. designed a stunning Belgian style farmhouse. They envisioned this project as a modern take on Belgian style farmhouses.
The Belgian stone exterior — featuring board and batten siding, slate roof in gray tones and gravel driveway — gives this home a new contemporary look. The color theme of neutrals and grays is carried into the interior which also gives this home a relaxing and peaceful feel to it.
Take a look at this inspiring Belgian farmhouse and you will certainly feel inspired by its timeless interior design ideas.
Interior design by Lynn Morgan Design of Rowayton, CT.
Isn’t this home absolutely stunning? The exterior paint color is Benjamin Moore La Paloma Gray, darkened by 25 %.
Stone: The stone is Byram black fieldstone from Connecticut Stone.
This Belgian farmhouse also feature windows and doors made from Case Window XS steel thermally broken system. Custom beveled muntins and glass stops were added to make the divided lites appear lighter and thinner. Trapezoids and arched top shapes throughout the project add flair.
I love the “Industrial meets Farmhouse” feel of this kitchen. Isn’t this fresh?

A wet bar cabinet is located in an arched nook just off the kitchen. Notice the foyer in the left.

How is your day going? Remember I mentioned I was going to do some shopping yesterday? It was pretty horrible. I went to a mall and visited some stores and I couldn’t find anything I liked for my kids. I’m not sure if it was just me but fashion seems to be a little too loud lately. Is it just me? — maybe I just went to the wrong store, but I surely don’t want to see my daughter dressed in a popsicle dress.. Yep.. I found a summer dress that had pictures of popsicles all over it… and the funny thing is that she loved it… and I couldn’t stand it… LOL
I think I will need to go find another store, on another day… and with a better mood! 🙂
I hope you guys have a fantastic & happy day! See you guys tomorrow!
