Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, near the Lake Harriet, and designed for a couple and their daughters, the 2015 Mpls.St.Paul Magazine ASID MN Showcase Home boasts a coastal-chic vibe that starts from the Hamptons shingled style exterior with blue front door painted in Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue to the open and bright interiors.
Every detail was meticulously designed by big names in the interior design industry, including Great Neighborhood Homes. The interiors of this coastal-inspired dream home feel cohesive and connected from room to room thanks to all of the 27 ASID designers that worked hard to come up with a timeless coastal-chic theme that can be seen in every space of this house.
Expect to fall in love with all the blues and sandy hues, the finishes, all of the textures and accents that evoke driftwood, rope, shells and sea glass. This home is a dream come true for anyone who loves coastal interiors.

It’s impossible to not look at this house while walking by. Its architectural details were impeccably designed and they immediately grab your attention.
Front Porch
This front porch comes with a great surprise: a fireplace! How unique is that?!
Outdoor Furniture
The outdoor chairs are by Lee Industries. Notice the rope covering the swing chains.

This gorgeous fireplace was designed by Twin City Fireplace & Stone Co.

The front door paint color is Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore.
Foyer
The foyer, designed by Renae Keller, features plenty of coastal elements such as reclaimed wood, grasscloth and even a shell chandelier.
Coastal Approach
Every detail in the home exudes the beach-chic vibe the homeowners were hoping to achieve.
Built-in Foyer Bench: The foyer bench cushion fabric is the Beckford Cotton Plain Nickel for Schumacher.
Foyer Ceiling
Ceiling is covered in grasscloth wallpaper by Gracie from Holly Hunt. Lighting is the Grand Ballroom Capiz Flush Mount.
Dutch Doors & Decor
The interior of the Dutch doors are painted in Benjamin Moore White Dove along with the millwork in this space.
The dresser is the Echols Chest by Gabby Furniture and mirror is the Amberlyn mirror by Uttermost.
Open & Airy
The foyer opens to the kitchen and great room. The French doors together with the front door creates the ideal cross-ventilation.
Kitchen
A space meant to act as “the heart of the home”, the kitchen looks out to the great room and front entryway.
I have to say this is one of my favorite kitchens ever! To the right you will find a desk area and the dining room. To the left, you have a fully-equipped pantry.
The wall paint color is Benjamin Moore HC-172 Revere Pewter.
Countertstools are by Vanguard.
Kitchen Lighting
The kitchen, designed by Erin Botz of Great Neighborhood Homes, features white cabinets and turquoise accents, such as the Urban Electric lantern shown in Sweet Dreams by Benjamin Moore with Clear Glass.
Kitchen Island Pendant Lighting
Urban Electric Chisholm Hall Lantern painted in Benjamin Moore Sweet Dreams. How “dreamy” is that? 😉
Cabinet Paint Color
The kitchen cabinets are painted in Benjamin Moore OC-17 White Dove. The island is a custom color.

Kitchen faucet is by Kohler. Notice how the kitchen flows to the dining room. From this angle you can see the French doors that lead you to the pool area in the backyard.
Dining Room Lighting
The dining room features sliding glass doors (to the right) for warm summer nights and a fireplace to cozy up the space when it’s cold. The blue and white wall mural is by Area Environments and lighting is the Driftwood Orb Chandelier by Currey & Company.
Wall color is Benjamin Moore White Dove.

This beautiful space was designed by Bonnie Birnbaum and Angela Parker.

The designers of this room, Sheree Vincent and Letitia Little designed this space with weathered furniture, breezy fabrics and bright colors. According to Leticia, the homeowners wanted this space to be a family friendly retreat that reminded them of their home in the British West Indies.

All fabrics and upholstered furniture are from Kravet.
Fireplace
This fireplace in the great room is one of five throughout the home.

The indoor/outdoor fabrics in cobalt blue and turquoise combined with white and driftwood finishes create a relaxed atmosphere in this living room.

Sunroom
The sunroom was designed by Kristen Sheikh and it carries a more subtle feel. The focal point of that space is the wave photograph by Peter Lik. Wall paint color is Benjamin Moore AC 26 Ozark Shadows.
Powder Room
This teal powder room is located off the foyer and it was designed by Jen Ziemer and Andréa Dixon of Fiddlehead Design Group. Cabinet paint color is Benjamin Moore CW-570 Mayo Teal.
Wall treatment is the Scherping Westphal wallpaper by Osborne & Little.
Mirror is Fletcher by Arteriors.
