Meticulously designed by Paul Geary from T.S. Adams Studio, Architects, this three-story beach house is located between the Grayton Beach and Blue Mountain Beach communities of Scenic Highway 30-A. It was built as a summer home to a very lucky couple from Atlanta.
The homeowners always dreamed of having a beach house where they could spend their summer with their grown-up kids and some close friends. For that, they hired a team of experts, including interior designer Janet Taylor of Taylor and Kelly Interiors, and built a beach house that embraces comfort and airy coastal interiors. The result is a home that is all at once majestic, inviting, and full of personal touches.

According to the designer, the owners love the look and feel of painted brick, so they incorporated it as the veneer for the first level and the main entry gable. It gives a sense of permanence as you approach the home.
Coastal Gem magnolias were chosen to surround the motor court, lending privacy and blocking wind in the front of the home.
Front Entry
The front entry feels welcoming with beautiful planters and a gray-stained front door.
Coastal Home Interiors
The designer worked closely with the homeowners to put the finishing touches on the home’s five bedrooms, master suite, living spaces, and pool area. Highlights include beautiful flooring from reclaimed barn wood throughout, custom tile work, antique and custom furniture, driftwood art pieces, and more.
The Jaipur rug is from Beau Interiors.
Dining Room
Sophisticated yet rustic, this shell chandelier captivates you in this coastal-inspired dining room. Linear chandelier is Lowcountry Originals Wassau Shell Double Drum Chandelier – $3,600

Coastal Decor
The designer brought the coastal feel thru the use of color and lots of shell and driftwood pieces from Drift With Anne. These pieces really bring the outside in.
Upholstery is from Lee Industries.
Open Layout
The homeowners wanted a home that would harmonize with the environment and be very comfortable yet elegant in a coastal way. Looking at this home with its airy and open layout, I feel that they have accomplished their goal.
Kitchen Paint Color
Perimeter cabinets are painted in Benjamin Moore OC 17 White Dove and island is painted in Benjamin Moore OC 21 Gray Owl.
Tile work is by Q Tile.

The reclaimed wood barstools are Arteriors Hinkley Barstool – $552
Master Bedroom
The home’s best feature of all—the stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico, Little Redfish Lake, and crystalline beaches—was the key factor in much of the design team’s decisions, including the master bedroom.
Chandelier
The bedroom chandelier is by Currey and Company.
Table lamps are from Drift with Anne.
Linens
Linens are from Bella Notte from Pizitz Home and Cottage, Pom Pom at Home. Notice the stunning barn door in this master bedroom.
Balcony
The master bedroom opens to a balcony with spectacular views.
Sectional
An outdoor sectional adds comfort to this balcony.
Master Bathroom
Can a bathroom get any better than this? I love the shiplap walls and the cabinetry, not to mention that view!
Guest Bedroom
According to the designer, the homeowners wanted a home that was filled with a lot of found objects and this blue bedroom features some of them.
Chair
A comfy chair is always a must in any bedroom…
Rug
Sisal rug is from Destin Flooring America.
Balcony
The guest bedroom opens to a porch with a swing… How perfect is that?!
Beach House
The outdoor living area and pool have a direct view over Little Redfish Lake to the Gulf, and the architect maximized that space by incorporating an indoor sitting room just off the pool deck, as well as an indoor/outdoor dining space with telescoping slide-away glass doors that is perfect for spring and fall entertaining.
Firepit
The layout of this backyard is very inspiring. I love the idea of having a firepit by the pool.

The floral arrangements are by Candace Abuvala of Roux 30a.
Ivory & Gray
I am loving the combination of ivory siding with the charcoal gray shutters/windows and metal roof.
White Brick
The white brick exterior adds warmth and texture to this beach house. This is truly an unique approach.
Pool
Dreams Come True
While designing the home to commune with its natural surroundings, the team worked out the conceptual process using hand-drawn sketches rather than formally drafted plans so the process could evolve more organically. “The owners were after a coastal native look,” says the landscape architect Bradford Davis about the landscaping plans. “We hand-pruned the sand live oak hammock and kept as much of the native vegetation as possible. Lots of massing, native grasses, and ground covers give the property a bold look. We were all very interactive throughout the process, and it was fun to help the owners realize their dream.”
