Re. your question , what makes a house like a home is its teadiness , bright colours , clean and originzed . Everything should be completely clean and in its place . Empty space is another important factor . I mean to fill up your house with lots of furniture . Let the surface of your kitchen be empty . let the table fill just by one item . Let your beds be originazed to see more space and calmness .

Love the outdoor patio with the gas grill set against the wall. How would you handle the ventilation/cooking fumes from that placement? Is there a ventilation fan?

Wonderful “magic hour” photos of the home second and third from the top. The magic hour is a term and practice known by good photographers and film makers. It is filming or taking stills approximately when sky light and interior light is balanced. This occurs somewhere within the first hour before sunrise or within the hour after sunset. The sky in these pictures must have been quite clear and thus very blue. Yet unlike a midnight photo the exterior would be almost black and so would the sky. and the interior lighting would be too washed out…..this “magic hour” photography: It is peaceful yet surreal….. So the grey exterior takes on that blue shade. the white exterior parts show less of a blue tint, but its no problem. the photography was perfect in getting that balance of man made light and providential light if you will. and i am happy that conventional warm lighting was coming from the interior than flourescent. if it was the latter it would be a not so pleasent greenish. but every shade has its day depending on what type of photo you want My sincere appreciation and commendation to the photographer Richard Mandelkorn. from a fellow but now retired photographer due to disability. thank you again, so much….. 🙂
