Kitchen Details: Island Countertop: The island is 2′ thick single slab of concrete, from J. Aaron, matched to Benjamin Moore color Edgecomb Gray. The concrete top island is 10′ long by 42″ wide.
Flooring and perimeter counter are reclaimed antique heart pine, from LongLeaf Lumber in Cambridge MA. Finished with Bona Traffic in Matte. The designer recommends to use 100% non-toxic ECOS Organics Wood Varnish in Matte finish.

Kitchen Paint Color is “Benjamin Moore Mayonnaise”.
The cabinet drawer flush pulls are from Whitechapel Ltd. Handles on the hidden SubZero refrigerators and freezer drawers are the largest 8″ size in the Aubrey line from Restoration Hardware. The designer used extra long screws to secure them as they are not officially specified for appliance use.

European-inspired Kitchen
The corbels are custom made and were part of the custom cabinetry design. The range is 60″ wide, and the hood and corbels are approximately 7 1/2′ wide. The mantel and side corbels are enameled wood and the sloped area above the tile and mantel is made out of sheetrock.
The backsplash behind the cooktop is Statuary White Marble, cut into 3″ x 6″ subway tiles. It is laid straight in the field, and then laid in a herringbone pattern inside the oil and vinegar niche. The backsplash on the perimeter counter is soapstone.
The island marble selection is Statuary White, and it is thicker than the soapstone counter on the perimeter.
Wall paint color is Restoration Hardware Ash. White cabinet paint color is Benjamin Moore White Wisp.
Chandelier is by Neimann Weeks.
