Loving traditional homes doesn’t mean you have to be stuck with old fashioned decor. Nowadays, traditional spaces should feel light and open, but always keeping a respect for traditional elements.
This particular house, built by Ellen Grasso, has about 4800 sq ft. and a terrific white kitchen and classic marble bathroom.
According to the builder, this wonderful traditional family home have some contemporary elements; defining the new traditional, or Metropolitan style. It feels comfortably familiar but has recognizable pizzaz, perfectly combining traditional characteristics with modern design in a very classy and timeless way.

Yesterday I got a chicken noodle soup recipe from a sweet reader that I can’t wait to try today. So, this is my plan for today: prepare the soup, lay on the couch (thank you hubby for taking care of our little ones) and drink lots of tea.
